The Avengers is a team of fictional superhero characters in comic books published by Marvel Comics. Originally created using preexisting Marvel characters, variously created by writer-editor Stan Lee, artist and co-plotter Jack Kirby and others, the team first appeared in The Avengers #1 (Sept. 1963). Labelled "Earth's Mightiest Heroes", the Avengers originally consisted of Ant-Man, Wasp, Thor, Iron Man, and the Hulk. Almost from inception, however, the roster has been fluid - the Hulk departed and Captain America joined the team within the first four issues of the series. The rotating roster has become a hallmark of the team, although one theme remains consistent: the Avengers fight the foes no single superhero can withstand - hence their famous cry of "Avengers Assemble!" The team has featured humans, robots, gods, aliens, supernatural beings and even former villains.
We caught a glimpse of this during filming and again earlier today in a new official still from Avengers: Age of Ultron, but Marvel's Comic-Con booth has now officially unveiled Harley-Davidson's first electric motorcycle, "Project Livewire" which Black Widow will be riding in the sequel...
Marvel have sent out a photo revealing that they have Loki's staff on display at their booth on the Comic-Con floor, but the familiar weapon (last seen in Captain America: The Winter Soldier) is being held in a mysterious new device. Check it out!
Leaving Incredible Hulk and Thor pieces to the puzzle, Hawkeye, Quicksilver and The Vision have joined the fight against Ultron bots in two more Avengers: Age of Ultron concept art posters. Check it out
Harley-Davidson and Marvel are once again teaming up for Avengers: Age of Ultron, with their first electric motorcycle, "Project Livewire", set to appear in the movie. We can now see that each of Ryan Meinerding and Andy Park's posters for Avengers: Age of Ultron do indeed connect as Hulk, Thor, and Quicksilver can be partially spotted in the two latest pieces of concept art which focus on Captain America and Black Widow. Check them out!
