Now that Fox isn't breathing down his neck, what does James Marsters REALLY think about the DBE script?

A fan recorded and uploaded part of a Q&A session with James Marsters (Piccolo) on April 25th when he was in the Netherlands last month. He speaks, off the cuff, about Dragonball: Evolution, and gives his thoughts on the movie as a whole.

	Hate to break the news to you Yohon, but the Buffy movie came out years and years ago. That's all your gonna get. If you want more of the universe read the comics that's all there will be. Personally I loved Buffy and I loved the Angel show even more, but I can't stand either comic. 	I never got to ask him questions at the convention he was at. Not at $40 an autograph. I do say maybe his kid should have wrote it. I think his kid knows more about and actually watches the series and he still tries to fake that he does. I like him, but the movie bombed. 	Didn't see DBE and I have no interest in seeing it. I loved the DBZ cartoon. Buffy was a good series and I liked the Angel spin off even more. Spike was one of the best characters to come out of Buffy and James played that role extremely well. I really wished they would have had at least one more season for Angel though. 	@Rorschach01 there has been talks for a couple years of making a buffy movie that follows after the series final but Joss said if he does it will contradict the comics that he made himself just so he doesn't have to explain it to the non comic readers, I say bah on that and just keep the comics going. I mostly like them just because I miss the shows and want more. Why aren't they going to make a movie, I heard everyone was behind it and wanted to do it. 	I personally enjoyed ANGEL more than BUFFY but if they did a movie, they would both probably be in it anyway!!! Plus characters from both series, its a pity nothings being done for this to happen! 	Since I got laid off I have rediscovered Angel. I watch it in the morning before I job hunt. Damn good show. I didn't even know Marsters wasn't English until I looked it up online. Great actor. DBE had HORRIBLE written all over it during it's previews and I will catch it on TBS. The action figures for the film are already on clearance at Wal-Mart. 	Rorschach01 don't read to much in to the Buffy movie comics. There is not chance in it happening. Joss throws around little things like a Buffy movies, Angel TV specials and a Spike movie just to get fans excited he never follows through. There isn't even a rumor of any work being done. 	..... This seriously is quite sad, the movie got released, the movie was horrible, the movie bombed... there will be no sequel and they will probably take 5 years to sell the rights to another studio so there won't be a reboot for at least 5 years....why don't the people that defended DBE just let it go, it was a horrible movie, that I had already forgotten about and moved on, and now the cast is pointing fingers at Fox Execs/Cast/Director/Screenwritter, that would probably make me buy the BluRay if that was in the extras, since it'd be fun to watch Marster's vs Ramsey, Chatwin vs Wong. However since the movie is so bad, I just won't buy it. Seriously SGA, RecoSwava let it go, no matter what the actors, cast, etc say, either they didn't stop to think about what they were doing (which makes me wonder if they really cared or if they just wanted to cash their paychecks) or they were too drunk on tequila and peyote to notice what was going on (but then their assistants, managers, agents, etc would have had to be wasted too, I mean someone should have caught it before releasing it). It wasn't just one person's fault it was everyone that was involved in it that made this movie bad. 	Everyone loves to point figures when something bomb the fact is they are all at fault. As much as I like the guy even James is at fault. The screw ups on that movie go beyond just Fox execs and it was simply a bad script to begin with. The actors who signed on choose to do it anyway. Some probably even joined up before there was a full script because they really wanted to do DB. 	DBE SUCKED!!, but even before the movie came out everyone knew it was going to suck, even looking at the movie as not part of dbz the movie suck on its own definatly a b-movie, it is hard to belive if your in a movie that you don't know how bad its going to be, i mean ask dennis hopper did he know super mario bro movie was going to be bad, shoot he had to know!! so spike saying it this persons fault or that persons fault, it doesn't matter you were still in the movie, you didn't say hey this is bad let me bail now!! no you stayed and got your check so hey be proud you got your check for a crappy movie, and just hope they don't riot at the next comic-con you go too!! nsane27 - 5/13/2009, 3:39 PM

	I didn't become a fan until recently and I was talked into giving the movie a chance. I wish I hadn't. The only thing right with the movie was the cast (except emmy rossum.. I hate her voice...) The story was bass aackwards and beyond repair. My 2 year old was more disappointed than I was. I feel horrible that I subjected her too it.
