FAN CAST: BATMAN/SUPERMAN...by GambitAceOfSpades

I've tried to use actors that have never been suggested...

I’ve created this because I am sick of all the recycled Superman/Batman fan casts that are appearing… (Henry Cavill/Jon Hamm as Superman etc)
I’ve found some actors who should be considered for the part of Superman and Batman (after Bale)

SUPERMAN/CLARK KENT

I considered a bulked up CILLIAN MURPHY and HARMON WALSH for this role but I decided against it…

TAYLOR KITSCH (Friday Night Lights, the Covenant, X-Men Origins: Wolverine…)
I know that some of you are not fans of Kitsch because of his portrayal of the Raging’ Cajun in Wolverine, but in my opinion I think that he has the look and the acting chops.
The only problem is his height (5’11)
In 2012, Kitsch will appear in John Carter of Mars and Battleship…why not add the Superman Reboot to his resume?

JOE MANGANIELLO (Spider-Man, How I Met Your Mother, True Blood…)
Joe may not resemble the character but he has the build and the acting chops. I previously thought of him as a 1D actor…until I saw him as Alcide in True Blood!!!
Joe is also a fan of the character…

MATTHEW GOODE (The Lookout, Watchmen, Leap Year)
In my opinion Goode is an extremely underrated actor. Goode worked with Snyder in Watchmen which was…Never mind
I can easily picture him as Clark Kent…bulk him up and you have SUPERMAN!!!

ALEXANDER SKARSGARD (Generation Kill, True Blood)
I remember InTylerWeTrust suggesting Alexander as The Man OF Steel.
Alex has the height, the build and the acting chops. All you have to do is provide this guy with make up and hair dye

I do not wish for the current Batman film series to be rebooted. These are potential actors who should take over the role of Batman when Bale retires. My initial choice for this character is IAN SOMERHALDER but I promised a friend on here that I wouldn’t use him.

BATMAN/BRUCE WAYNE

EOIN BAILEY (Band of Brothers)
I haven’t seen Bailey act but from what I’ve heard, he’s pretty good. He has the brooding eyes that are required for Bruce.

TOM HARDY (Bronson, RocknRolla, Inception)
I pretty much use Hardy and Somerhalder in all my fan casts. Hardy is one of my favorite actors due to his ability of making himself the character.
I’m also using Hardy as DEADSHOT in my Batman III fan-fic THE GRIM AVENGER OF GOTHAM

ANDY WHITFIELD (Gabriel, Spartacus: Blood and Sand)
This guy is an extremely talented actor who was rumored to play Batman in Millers JLA film. Spartacus also reminds me of Batman/Bruce Wayne

Look forward to my Batman fan fic….
You can guess who’s playing who….

CHRISTIAN BALE
MICHAEL CAINE
JONATHAN RHYS-MEYER
TOM HARDY
JOSH BROLIN
RAY WINSTONE
CHRIS KLEIN
RODRIGO SANTORO
ERIC ROBERTS
CHRISHOPHER HEYERDAHL
MORGON FREEMAN

Wow, I never thought of Whitfield for Batman before. That would be the shit. I hope he recovers from his cancer.

I don't wanna break it to ya @ GAMBIT, but half these suggestions have already been done.

Gambit as SUPES is interesting tho, but maybe CAVILL is perfect for SUPERMAN that why there are many who suggest him,,, top actor!

I'm kinda liking OWAIN YEOMAN tho now, he should be more than a TV SUPERMAN! : P

SOMBERHALDERS gr8 for NIGHTWING!

Still say HARDY's awesome for DEADSHOT!

WHITEFIELD's cool!

GAMBIT @ Dude, I reckon you've hit GOLD there, kudos!

Last thing I heard I about Whitfield was that he needed to return to his cancer treatment. Starz is now beginning to consider recasting for Spartacus... :(

Let's hope Andy gets better soon! (not because of the show, although it wouldn't be the same without him)

Matthew Goode, as much as I like the guy, was one of the factors that nearly ruined Watchmen for me. You say he just needs to bulk up to be Superman - well, he would have needed to bulk up for Ozymandias. I actually thought he would have made a good Ozy, if he just bulked up little. Instead we got this ridiculous hair and his irritating and nonsencical accent thingy. Not to speak of the costume. I watched my share of films with Goode before Watchmen to get to know him, and for some reasons Watchmen ended up being one of the movies I saw the least Adrian Veidt in.

Hardy and Mangeniello for thier respective parts are fine by me. but im on the "Yeoman for Superman" bandwagon now thanks to LEEE (he spiked the punch and i chugged it)

Kitsch is a pretty solid actor I like him in Friday Night Lights and in that movie Covenant.

His look would bring some edge to the SUPERMAN character
and with the right script who knows...put him in the right pair of shoes/boots he's atleast 6'0" easy.

Most of you on here loved Beetlejuice as Batman and he was only 5'9" so if the guy can play SUPERMAN it could work.
