Cheadle also stated that Iron Man 3 will start shooting in May so expect casting news to emerge soon. Specifically news on who the villain is and which actor/actress will be portraying him/her. I'm personally hoping for Madams Masque and Taskmaster as the sympathetic villain.

I hope so,the battles with Whiplash in IM2 were TOO F*CKING SHORT
the battle with the drones was cool,but the final boss was too easy :P

I don't know what it is about Don Chealde, but I just can't stand him. He distracts and detracts from every movie he's in. Oh, and he was terrible in IM2. I really hoped he wouldn't return for the 3rd.

He seems like a nice guy and all, plus his work with Rwanda is honorable...I dont know, I just can't put my finger on why I dislike him. And it's not his race-- I'm black.

And I don't know, he was very fine as Rhodey to me...or probably I was just too happy seeing War Machine in action. Whatever it is, hopefully this next one features more of War Machine.

I liked him in that movie about Mars, where he was stranded. Hard for me to think of any other movies I've seen them in. I did just watch iron Man 2 yesterday on Netflix, talk about synchronicity, and I seem to enjoy the movie much more than I did when it came out. I guess I just had time for it to soak in, but I think part of what people didn't like about iron Man 2 was Tony acting like such a Dick, me included. But I see now that the character needed to grow. The subject matter being, what would you do if you're going to die and you were a billionaire. You would probably be a major Dick also. Anyhow, I'm getting psyched about the avengers, iron Man 3 starting filming soon, and talk of Thor 2 starting early summer.

Love Don Cheadle as an actor but he was a weak replacement for Terence Howard. I think Terence fit the role perfectly and it was a big loss when he wouldn't come back. I hope this doesn't mean more War Machine. We don't need another Iron Man movie with two Iron Men please. Let's concentrate on having a good villain and something to new to keep the character fresh. Iron Man doesn't seem as much of a Super Hero when there's basically two of him.

Howard was perfect as Rhodey, he had a great believable relationship with RDJ.

And Iron Man 2 should've had the amour wars touch to it. Hammer hiring these evil geniuses (Ghost, Whiplash, Unicorn, ect.) to take down Stark plus the military drones. Now that would've put alot on Tony, and adding him dying too! Then putting War Machine into the mix! Damn.... I'm sorry lol

Don Cheadle is awesome. He may not have been my best choice for Rhodey, but I have no complaints about his acting ability. From Hotel Rwanda to the Oceans 11 movies he's been great.

Yeah, Cheedle doesn't have the look, but he has the presence and attitude. Iron Man had a perfect cast and was pretty annoying when Howard got cut. But now that I look at it, Howard is kinda soft and I can't see him being a badass in the suit. Cheedles a little guy, but his presence makes for a more believable suit pilot.

I guess he's the lesser of two weevils.

but i feel like this whole war machine/rhodey guy is completly useless.i mean who wants 2 iron men in iron man film??

I hope it focuses on Iron Man, War Machine is ok, but his addition ruined the uniqueness of Iron Man because here is another guy with a suit.

Bleeding Armor would be so freaking sweet tho. ACtion is a must but PLEASE make this a character driven story like the first one.

War Machine didnt ruined Iron Man its more to do with replacing Terrence Howard with Don Cheadle. plus Marvel Studio rushed the development of Iron Man 2. they did not take time to write a better script.

Terrence Howard had great chemistry with RDJ but I feel that Don Cheadle had more presence. When he emerged at the birthday party in that Mark II armor and said, "I'm only gonna say this once.. GIT OUTTT." and the helmet slammed shut, I was like, "oooooh SH*T!" That was the moment I loved him as Rhoadey.

Intruder, what also sucked about it was how all the talking that was in it was pointless and boring. Talking is fine, if done properly.

I think Cheadle is the better actor he just had a horribly written part in Iron Man 2.

I though cheadle was an improvement on howard (odd recast though, just substitute one brotha for another regardless if he is a lot darker than howard..guess we're interchangeable).

Howard came off more as whiny and was more annoying than anything else. IM2 felt like a rush job to stuff in as much stuff as possible, not a terrible movie though.

I wouldn't mind a IM3 where they deal with the aftermath of the Avengers movie (whatever it may be) that leads other countries to openly developing their own IM tech and bring in a few decent armored villains (love to see the real crimson dynamo, titanium man, ghost,ect). It'd be interesting to see how IM deals with true competition in the Marvel Movie Universe.

Just rewatched Iron Man 2 the other day. I thought Cheadle was better than Howard Honestly the problems I saw were the writing and fight scenes. They were too damn short. The climatic boss fight was only like 40secs!
Yes, the film is lackluster when compared to the 1st Iron Man, but it was pretty decent imo.

Now let's just hope that they make the action scenes longer this time. Iron Man should be all abut story and action packed fight scenes, not just dialogue

Maybe they should kill Rhodey in the 3rd film. Then have Stark battling deppression as his enemies take his company apart. Ghost should infiltrate Stark's company. Idk, just an idea. They should go all out on this one
