Update: Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows Part 2 Blu-Ray And DVD To Be Released In Time For The Holidays

The conclusion to the Harry Potter series The Deathly Hallows Part 2 will be released latter this December, to go along the release WB is re-releasing Part 1 on blu-ray 3D as well. Updated with US and UK release date!

Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows Part 2 will be released for home enjoyment in time for the holidays this year. Warner Brother announced that you can bring home the epic conclusion to Harry Potter's story on Blu-ray, blu-ray 3D, and DVD on December 2, 2011. To go along with the release Warner Brothers is re-releasing Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows Part 1 on blu-ray 3D for the first time. In typical blu-ray and DVD fashion there will be multiple extras and special features including some that are exclusive to the blu-ray release. Thanks to TheIrishAvenger for the box art! UPDATE!!! The December 2, 2011 date is for the UK release the movie will be released in the US on November 11, 2011.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2” will be available on Blu-ray 3D Pack; featuring the film on a Blu-ray 3D and Blu-ray in hi-definition and on DVD in standard definition as well as a standard definition digital copy of the 2D main feature. It will also be available on Blu-ray Triple Play; featuring a hi-definition, a standard definition, and a digital copy of the film and on 2 Disc Special Edition DVD in widescreen format.

Also available on 2nd December is “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1” on Blu-ray 3D. Additionally, for the first time “Harry Potter: The Complete 8-Film Collection” featuring the complete Harry Potter film series will be available on Blu-ray and DVD and also as a Limited Edition, individually numbered, featuring a 48-page collectable photo album.


Special Features:
The Goblins of Gringotts: Hosted by Warwick Davis, you’ll see the entire process of becoming a goblin” in a Harry Potter film, from auditions and casting to makeup and prosthetic tests as well as filming the final scenes.

Honestly I hoped they put deathy hallows part 1 and 2 together for the release. they are much better viewed together.

I'd get the 8-film blu ray box set, but only if they dont do that thing with the other box-sets where they put two film discs in one case, it looks kinda cheap.

oh actually i agree with @patriautism, I felt Part 1 was good but Part 2 was lacking as a stand alone film, and editting them together would rectify that IMO.

Oh great, a British movie, one that's ending what is possibly the most well known and loved British film series of all time (rivalled only by James Bond) is being released first in... America.
Great...

Cut us some slack! Sure we may get some American things before the US, but how often do we produce films at all? About 80% of movies in the cinema per year are American, and about 5% are British...

yeah, I'll probably be holding off on those. I already have the last two on Blu-Ray, but my dvd copies of the first 5 aren't in the best condition.
