New Plot Synopsis Reveals A Few Extra Details About THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN

As Andrew Garfield (Peter Parker) and Emma Stone (Gwen Stacy) continue their tour around the globe with new footage from The Amazing Spider-Man and Q&A sessions, The Times Of India has released a new plot synopsis which they claim comes directly from the studio.

The Amazing Spider-Man is the story of Peter Parker (Garfield), an outcast high schooler who was abandoned by his parents as a boy, leaving him to be raised by his Uncle Ben (Sheen) and Aunt May (Field). Like most teenagers, Peter is trying to figure out who he is and how he got to be the person he is today. Peter is also finding his way with his first high school crush, Gwen Stacy (Stone), and together, they struggle with love, commitment, and secrets. As Peter discovers a mysterious briefcase that belonged to his father, he begins a quest to understand his parents' disappearance - leading him directly to Oscorp and the lab of Dr Curt Connors (Ifans), his father's former partner. As Spider-Man is set on a collision course with Connors' alter-ego, The Lizard, Peter will make life-altering choices to use his powers and shape his destiny to become a hero.

Nothing too revealing here, although it does confirm a few previously heard rumors and topics brought up in interviews. With Oscorp clearly playing a significant role in the upcoming reboot, this also leaves one very important question: Where is Norman Osborn, a.k.a. the Green Goblin? With no casting news of any sort, whether he'll be shrouded in mystery (a la Moriarty in Sherlock Holmes) only to be revealed as the villain in a future instalment remains to be seen. Sound off with your thoughts in the usual spot.

STARRING:

Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker/Spider-Man
Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy
Rhys Ifans as Curt Connors/The Lizard
Martin Sheen as Uncle Ben
Sally Fields as Aunt May
Denis Leary as George Stacy

RELEASE DATE: July 3rd, 2012.

If what Kevin Feige said is true and spidey
does have a very breif cameo I'm just curious
as to how they plan on incorporating him?
We know that a huge part most likely the
climax of the Avengers takes place in NYC
and Peter Parker lives and is Spider Man in
NYC so perhaps the Avengers takes place before
Peter becomes Spider Man and we see just a quick
glance of Peter. Although considering The Avengers
will leave NYC very damaged I highly doubt that
will be the case since NYC is proably in perfect condition in The Amazing Spider Man. And if
Spider Man is alluded to and not just Peter why
would Spider Man not have helped The Avengers defend his home base of NYC? I dont know I'm just very
excited for both movies and just a breif cameo
in any way is beyond exciting news summer can't
come soon enough!

I really feel that this movie will not only be a fantastic adventure, but, I think that this will be a great film, in a large series of Spiderman films. I wonder what will happen with his parents, where they are, and also, I wonder how Norman Osborn will come into this movie. I am eager to see it, and to only summarize how I truly feel about it:

no we don't, i can't stand Grif. He is a shit person, with a shit personality, and a big pile of shit for his only friend, he gets his only release from his world when he comes on here and gets to feel big by just bashing things nonsensically. It makes him feel better about him self and he gets to escape those moments when he is doing homework or working as a dishwasher, he looks around and becomes so depressed because he realizes that he doesn't have any real friends and people around him just roll there eyes at him. HE doesn't realize that if he wasn't such a douche who has to cut people and things down just to make him feel better that people might actually like him and he wouldn't live in the hole of depression that exists around him.

anyways ... at first i was really worried about this movie, i didn't think it was going to be good. But the more i learn the more i like what i hear and what i see. The selling point for me was that i heard spidey was going to throw his lame jokes out there and talk his trash. That makes me happy because that is a big thing that all rami films missed.

Also I think Christoph Waltz. I think he would be great. Daniel Day Lewis would work for me. I wouldn't even care about Christoph's accent, he is soo good at making you hate him and not trust him

@TheGODDAMNSUPERGUY Kevin Feige already confirmed a Spider Man cameo in print so cleary Sony and Marvel have decided to incorporate Spidey even if it is a very breif cameo proably to help their film coming out later because reminding the world especially fans that Spidey can share the same universe as The Avengers means big bucks down the line. We dont why Sony has allowed a Spider Man cameo in The Avengers but Kevin confirmed it so accept it! He said that Spider Man which I'm sure being so high up in the comapny of MARVEL that he knows by saying Spider Man will have a cameo in The Avengers that he means Spider Man so even if it is breif Spider Man will be in The Avengers some way.

yeah, but they said the cameo was a dont blink or you missed it cameo, it will probably be spidey swinging by in the background barely noticeable. Or Garfield as peter on the ground in a crowd. The way it sounds, most people wont even notice spidey until it gets posted on the internet where he is.

i could also see Jason Isaacs as Norman .. I also wonder if Michael Emerson could pull it off. He can be so so creapy sometimes. His creapyness would be great for the norman osborn that we only meet for 5 or 10 minutes with no goblin. Just get a bad evil vibe off of him. My only worry would be him pulling off the full roll as the goblin. The other good part of him is being small and kind of nerdy, then getting super strength goblin does not have to be huge tall or hulking.

In what bizarro world did Kevin Feige say that Spider-Man will have a cameo in the Avengers movie when he previously stated that there won't be any cameos in the film?

ok, I am sorry i said such mean things to grif, but i thought he was funny the 1st time he posted his pile of shit video or came into a room , but its the only thing he does. When i wrote that i half figured he wouldn't even read it because i dont think he goes into a room again after he comes in and says " shit movie". TeaBag atleast talks and doesn't just dis everything when he is posting boobies. Like this hot supergirl on the bottom of my screen. I want to click on her sooooo bad but i know the link is just a dumb advertisement.

@MrNoFear. I don't think Sony has a choice. Eventually they lose the rights to Spidey, and I think no matter what they say or offer, Marvel will not let them buy the spidey rights for another 15 years or whatever it was. Sony is going to get this movie out and try to push out a sequel, and if it does good marvel will take it over and keep the story going. That is if they contractually can.

Plot seems fairly obvious. Parker goes to work as an intern at Oscorp and the same scientific mishap that gives him spider powers gives the Lizard his powers. Sounds like a rip-off of The Incredible Hulk with Banner and Blonsky. I know this is a re-boot, but the storyline where Parker becomes a crime-fighter because he fails to stop the criminal who kills Uncle Ben seems too integral to abandon. I hope this doesn't turn out to be some teen angst Twilight shit.

I wish there was a small cameo, maybe by Spidey's parents. I doubt it tho- what did that lady say, seeing a Spiderman trailer next to Iron Mans... do they give people who are only there a day to shoot a cameo a whole trailer? I doubt it.

On the other hand- Sony rekanizez that Marvel Studios/Disney knows whats up- Sony prolly asked for help making a good movie and MCU decided to roll Spidey in to the continuity.

@Kingdork Kevin Feige said Spider Man will be in The Avengers in the brand new out this week EMPIRE magazine. It's not bizaro world it's the real world enjoy it cause it's happening! My guess is when Sony allowed Disney the toy rights they must have made some deal I dont know or care bottom line is that IT IS HAPPENING!!!

@merrillmind Well the thing is, I don't see any direct quotes from Feige or the Empire article, just people jizzing over Jenny Agutter's comments. So excuse me for being a tad bit skeptical.
