Marvel's IRON MAN 3 Will Be Released Earlier In The UK

The UK version of the recently released Iron Man 3 trailer has confirmed that the next Marvel Studios movie will be following the trend set by THOR and The Avengers on this side of the pond - it's getting an earlier release! Hit the jump for details.

During an IMAX screening of Skyfall earlier today, a trailer was shown for Iron Man 3. Yes, it looked incredible on the big screen, but that's not the point! You see, it confirmed something long suspected by UK fans. Once again, they won't have to wait until the US release date to see the latest Marvel Studios movie! While American prints of the trailer have the "Next Summer" and "May 3, 2013" tags on them, the UK version has "Next April" and "April 2013". It seems like a safe bet at this point that British fans will be able to see the threequel on April 26th - the same date that The Avengers was released. The international version of the trailer can be viewed in the usual place below. Stay tuned for further details!

Many thanks to @Marvel_Freshman for the banner above.

Marvel Studios’ Iron Man 3 pits brash-but-brilliant industrialist Tony Stark/Iron Man against an enemy whose reach knows no bounds. When Stark finds his personal world destroyed at his enemy’s hands, he embarks on a harrowing quest to find those responsible. This journey, at every turn, will test his mettle. With his back against the wall, Stark is left to survive by his own devices, relying on his ingenuity and instincts to protect those closest to him. As he fights his way back, Stark discovers the answer to the question that has secretly haunted him: does the man make the suit or does the suit make the man?

Guessed as much, all expect Cap have come out a week earlier here, most blockbusters seem to be doing so lately, not sure why.

I think America just gets it a week after Europe so they can advertise longer and build hype, but i don't know.

Marvel is [frick]ing retarded. You release it in a country that does not provide the biggest amount of profit, idiots.... That is a brilliant plan right there!

You can bet your sweet ass people will have already seen it and have a DVD of it playing in their Blu-Ray players by the time it comes to the U.S. Smart move, guys, smart move.

They want to release it before the soccer season starts in May. Movies in Europe tend to do better in Late April than in Early May. Stupid, but predictable and fiscally responsible on Marvel's part.

Do us Americans get an additional after-credit scene, or what? I have no problem with overseas receiving the film first. However, the irking part is the fact that I'll have to take a break from the Internet (or at least ComicBookMovie and other film sites) so that I don't spoil all the in-depth details. You see! I'm thinking about my CBM community here, I'll be missing you guys :P

releasing the avengers earlier in other countries didn't hurt the overall box office takings.

the avengers $1,511,757,910

domestic $623,537,910
foreign $888,400,000

everyone knows the avengers would do well in america it a harder sell everywhere else.

Yeah, we get it a week early, woop.

They'll change the name to Iron Man 3 assembled, give us less of a movie, and when its time for home release we'll get bent over and raped. As we sit in a corner sobbing afterwards the only thing we'll be offered to dry our tears with will be a single disc DVD with less features than than Kristen Stewart's acting.

yeah, we win.

Absolutely ridiculous, they have got almost every major movie this year earlier than north America. It's not that hard to release it everywhere at once, I'm sick of these timed releases.
