Gusto knows not of the work of the legendary Bill Sinkewicz, the man whose artwork in the original Moon Knight series made the character the cult favorite that he is today.

I wish Michael Golden was doing more work. Avengers Annual 10 (v1) and his work on "The Nam" was excellent. Always pleased to notice the absense of Rob Liefeld so I guess there's the silver lining. Winter Soldier has my vote out of the 10. The DD cover just looks like someone trying to copy the look of the series in the 80's.

There are so many options for best covers, none of them have been displayed in this article. Kirby, Ross, Lee .... the covers are only as good as their artist, need to seriously read up on that subject.

Okay Marvel, if you want Pepper with Tony then make it happen. Otherwise leave the Pepper and Tony stuff for the damn movies. Though personally you probably shouldn't be introducing your SO to your boss who you sleep with from time to time.

These covers (and the marketing philosophy behind their creation) are part (JUST PART) of the reason the industries sales continue to plummet. Kids don't like 'em.

Yes, there are probably ten other reasons ALSO. And if they just want to make mini-posters that's fine. They'e doing a good job of that. But if you want your industry to have legs BEYOND being a temporary "source" for the movies, then you need to continue adding new (and that means YOUNG) readers.
