Frank Grillo (Warrior, The Grey), 47 years old, has seriously seriously hit the gym to bulk up for his part as Crossbones in the upcoming CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER. His rigorous workout (2000 daily crunches etc.) was previously reported on and he has now tweeted the results.

Chris Evans and Scarlett Johansson have been seen filming so it's safe to assume that soon Grillo will be joining them on set.

CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER releases domestically on 4th April 2014.

Looks good, but we need a shirtless pic to see the actual result. Honestly, he hasn't really bulked up any since the last photo we saw. Hope his costume is good.

Now that you mention it, he does look like Crixus. They could play twins in some movies. Both are about the same height too.

He'll probably have some muscle padding in his suit.

He has already done infinitely better than Tom Hardy.

When are you guys gonna realize that people can't get as big as the comics without the use of steroids or training more than a year for it?

It's almost like you guys have never worked out before.

i like Grillo. He was great in "Grey" (best supporting actor nomination would be nice).

If he was younger he would make a good Batman, i guess.

I wouldn't be surprised if somebody cast him as the Punisher anytime soon.

Just wonder how crossbones character is gonna be a threat to Cap in the movies know the comic book character is expert in hand to hand combat weapons etc but he should pose no threat to a enhanced human such as Cap Christ he can lift a motorbike with three women on above his head and take on a bunch of Chitari single handed so wonder if there gonna ramp up the crossbones character?
