Candian Actor Mackenzie Gray stars in MAN OF STEEL and briefly spoke to JTM Games about his involvement with the film.

On the Suit and its Construction
Oh yeah, amount of detail on Superman is unbelievable. Superman’s costume, is a three-layer costume; there’s a body-skin layer and then there’s a muscle layer that was molded to Henry’s muscles – it’s a silver, metallic rubber – and then over that is a mesh skin so whenever he turns into light it looks like he’s made of steel. It’s just incredible, the design of the film is fantastic. All the concepts and the designs is just remarkable and they didn’t have to build fake muscles for Henry because he’s really built.

On the tone of the movie
I wouldn’t say it’s darker but more hyper-realistic. Maybe it’s got a bit of a darker tone; it’s not as comical, there’s no comical villains or anything like that. It’s a very realistic film, but with all the magic of Superman. For example, when he’s flying you’ll really believe that he’s flying and it’s really great how they did that. I really think that Man of Steel is a different take and it’s not going to be cartoonish. Zack Snyder has done such an amazing job with the film.

On Man Of Steel as a whole
Man of Steel is going to be an amazing film, it’s a total reboot of Superman; it’s as if there was no other Superman movies before it. It’s starting fresh with great performances in it too. Henry Cavill is an amazing Superman; Michael Shannon as General Zod is fantastic, Russel Crowe, Diane Lane, and Kevin Costner – I mean it’s an amazing cast. I’m not allowed to say what I’m playing as, it’s a big secret so I’ll keep that one to myself. But I can say that Man of Steel is a really amazing film. I think fans of Superman and great movies are going to love it equally.

@CavEl- Council member? I doubt that. Why wouldthey go through all the trouble to keep that role such a secret if he's just some council member.

He's old. But IF he's Lex i can still live with that. I mean, there HAS to be a Lex Luthor SOMEWHERE in the movie and I'm not just talkin clever little mentions and nods here and there. The movies had damaged Superman, we all know that. They left him bound and chained as Snyder has put it in the past. But so has Lex Luthor. Both Superman AND Lex have been damaged by the movies thus far. There is a serious threatening Lex Luthor in the comics and I really believe Snyder should have at least CONSIDERED a newer and more modern take on Lex using the comics as his guide. No more of the goofy real-estate shenanigans.

If this Mackenzie guy IS truly Lex...I'm willing to give him a fair shot. He looks evil sorta...and who knows, he might play the snubby, billionaire thing well.

I've been a member of this site for 3 years and 2 days on the dot (hope my math isn't off lol) and all I've EVER fought for on this site against all the haters has been a great portrayal for Superman AND his greatest nemesis Lex Luthor.

If we're talkin Superman. Gotta have Lex involved somehow. I get people are tired of Lex. Maybe just the Gene Hackman/Spacey portrayals left a bad taste in people's mouths. But not to worry.

IF Lex is in MOS and I seriously HOPE he is...he definitely won't be after real-estate. The LexCorp building in the 3 minute trailer was definitely a step in the right direction. Kudos to Snyder for that.

@ LP4 - He's not Lex, they wouldn't give an unknown the role of Lex Luthor.

@CavEl- True. All the PAST incarnations of Lex have been given to oscar nominees. BUT you must remember this movie is different. Who knows...they might give the role to an unknown this time.

Besides I highly doubt that Gray is simply playing some Council member. His role is a tightly, guarded secret and it's stated to be MAJOR. So there's no way he's a council member.
