Cable NOT In Deadpool Spin Off!!!

I was kinda happy when I heard about Cable appearing in the stand alone Deadpool movie from Fox. Oh well.

It made me feel that Fox was turning a new leaf. You know, like doing what a studio is suppose to do to bring in more fans. Hype up their film a little. Like saying a very popular character such as Cable would be in the Deadpool film would start that off nicely. But alas, no, not going to happen according to MTV's twitter report:

Deadpool pt. 2: @robertliefeld Clarification, Cable definitely NOT in Deadpool movie, but possible role in future X-films....not First Class.

So, no Cable for now. Sounds like we get Deadpool in his mask, and the Merck with a mouth will be breaking the fourth wall. Hopefully Fox will make Deadpool a super smart ass as well.

	Yeah, I can see why. You just can't throw Cable into a movie as a secondary character without a proper introduction. This is the first time I say this, but I don't want to see a Deadpool movie right now. He is one of my top three favorite Marvel characters. A PG-13 movie with Fox writers will never do him any justice. The studio will dumb the character down and try to make him a hero. 	Daredevil's a bad example - although I think many of us comic nerds appreciate the film on some level - universally it's considered 'the suck'. 	I don't know, guys. I'm going to have to change my mind. Biehn would have been perfect for Cable ten years ago, but he's looking pretty ripe. I just finished reading the 'Cable & Deadpool' saga again, and I just don't see him playing the part anymore. Cable IS depicted as in his 40's and 50's in some story lines. But I would want to see a younger version of him, more franchise opportunities. Yes No Too bad Daniel Craig can't fake an American Accent, I think he could do a good job. 	@LEEE777 Umm, people like him because A) he can act B) he was trained as a stunt man C) He's a household name and would draw an audience. Biehn is a great choice for Cable, but realistically we won't see an X4 or New Mutants movie for at least another three to four years. 	Well of course he isnt in Deadpool, this might actually be Fox trying to treat the characters with respect because it means they want to set up the character first in a X-Men movie instead of just throwing Cable randomly into a Deadpool movie without establishing his story in a X-Men movie first. They could have easily thrown Cable into the Deadpool movie and made him into a random mutant with a completely different backstory but they might actually set him up as a soldier from the future and child of Cyclops and then he can be put in a Deadpool sequel. Heres the way the X-Men movies should be: 2011: Introduce Deadpool in a proper movie first and actually set up his character. Deadpool was on his own before he met Cable in the comics 2012: Wolverine 2 (make a good Wolverine movie) 2013: X4 (Sinister as villain) 2014: X5 (film back-to-back with Apoclaypse as villain with Cable jumping from the future to stop Apocalypse) 2015: Deadpool 2 2016: Cable leads X-Force to fight Stryfe who also jumped back during the events of X5 and now Cable is forced to fight him 2017: X6: Days of Future Past 2018: Magneto and Xavier prequel 2019: Cable and Deadpool movie 2020: First Class prequel (Shadow King) 2022: First class prequel 2 (first battle against brotherhood) 2024: First class prequel 3 (Hellfire Club) dancingmonkey08 - 9/23/2009, 1:28 PM
	@josh I feel the same way about his portrayal of Bond. He shocked the masses and brought life back to a franchise that was fading away. I think he has uber potential for a CBM! @dancingmonkey08 Dude, if you ever buy a movie studio, you'd be the king of CBMs! 	LEE: If you had ever read a single of Fleming's novels you would realise that Craig is the best Bond so far in the sense he is the most accurate portrayal! All the silly gadgets like underwater cars may be fun in the older movies but are an insult to the brilliant books that Fleming wrote! 	Dancingmonkey, your wrong about Deadpool being established before meeting Cable. Deadpool's first appearance is in X-Force in which he fights Cable, Domino, and the rest of that X-Force roster. Actually, his first appearance is the same issue in which Domino joins X-Force. Spock, Cable first appeared in 1990, Bishop appeared in 1991. Cable isn't Deadpool's sidekick, having him as a supporting character in a Deadpool movie would be sacrilege. And FK NO to a 'younger' Cable. I [frick]s me up how some of you think you are the authority on what is/isn't okay as far as warping canon. Some of you bitched endlessly over Deadpool's treatment in XMO:W, yet your all for pissing all over Cable to get him into a movie, and when Fox pooches the character in the ass, you'll be pissing and moaning again as though you were never condoning it in the first place. Joshw24, you reminded me of something in mentioning TDK. I've been reading up on Batman lore and the more I learn, the more I dislike TDK. That movie was so far beyond canon it's ridiculous. I appreciate the film as an adaptation and in the fact it was a well made movie, but as far as staying true to the books, that is one of the worst CBM's ever. It almost disgusts me how much approval it gets from comic fans even with my limited knowledge of the character. I just recently read (for the first time) The Killing Joke, which a substantial amount of TDK is based off of, and man did they [frick] that all up. Chris Nolan is just a good film maker, but he straight up pissed all over the canon, but that has been overlooked because the guy really does make some good movies. Not that it's a bad thing, cause it could have been a lot worse in the sense we could have gotten a shitty film maker who pissed on the canon. 	I've been thinking x-4 should have him at the end. Then showcase him for x5 I always thought it would be cool if Jean grey didn't die at the end of x3 that could have been madelyne pryor. Jeans clone made by SINISTER and he used her to trap cyclops. X-men think they're dead but sinister is using their DNA to make Cable. X5 would be apocalypse. X4 could be mutant massacre and Jean and Scott escape with gambits help after he feels bad about the massacre to stop sinister. X-men reuite gambit joins the team they go after sinister big awesome fight scenes they defeat the marauders and sinister and he hints at apocolypse. And most importantly no bryan singer or ratner.
