Sam Raimi Says "Spider-Man 4" Will Begin Shooting In March 2010!!!

"We're hoping that it's the first week in March," states Raimi.

"He's working on a draft," he continued. "I just gave him some notes and he's doing a rewrite right now."

Raimi is of course referring to Gary Ross. Oh boy, another rewrite or maybe this is the same rewrite reported earlier in the summer. Let's hope so.

"The production is starting to come together," Raimi told splashpage. "I've got a production designer who is starting to design the sets and the environments that the picture will take place in. We just brought aboard Scott Stokdyk as one of the two visual effects supervisors, and I worked with him on all three 'Spider-man' pictures."

We know Toby Mcguire and Kirsten Dunst are set to reprise their roles but what about the other cast members? Who is playing the villain?

"None of the casting has really taken place, but we're starting to think about that now," the director said.

After "Spider-Man 3," I really hope Sam Raimi takes a cue from us fans and gives us an explosive, well written Spidey 4!

I dunno, I think it went something like this: The studio listened to every idea the fans threw at them Instead of picking a few of the better suggestions, they lumped them all together into a clusterfck. The studio told Raimi THEIR interpretation of what the fans wanted. Raimi probably wasn't too happy, but figured if the fans wanted it then so be it. 	josh24 - Electro should be used in a lesser role but kept around so that down the line the Sinister Six can form. The original SS is the one I'm dying to see on the big screen! Not until Spidey 6, though! Throwing together any random assortment of rogues to form the Six is asking for trouble... Scorpion would work for a subplot in part six, with Mysterio as one of the main villains in that film. 	Carnage should not be a villain in the next one. It's too reminiscent of Venom, and I would rather he be in the Venom spin off, as that seems to actually be happening. Im not sure how I would introduce Electro but it might be a bit of a push to effectively have both he and Scorpion in the same movie - However, Electro could be the main villain whilst we go through MacGargan becoming Scorpion, then finish the movie with Spider-Man saving Jonah from Scorpion! 	Punisher's neighbor: Not a big role, really doesn't have much of a factor in him as Electro. 	LEE: I have read a pile of Kraven comic books including McFarlane's stuff and the characters death - my point was that he is not really a character that will deliver any exciting fight scenes seeing as he's a regular human pretty much! Bendis pretty muc made a laughing stock in his Ultimate Spider-Man of what a lame character/villain Kraven is! Even in the regular MU, the guy was never much of a threat! TYLER: Thats a good point actually! As I said to JonF above, I would have Electro be the main villain in Spider-Man 4 whilst JJJ hires PI MacGargan to invstigate Spider-Man...Spidey could then defeat Electro 3/4 of the way in at which point Jameson for some reason would create Scorpion resulting in the final fight of the movie being Spider-Man saving JJJ from the villain! 	Josh: I think Kraven is a great villain. He is basically at the peak human condition, and is shown in the video games with tons of unique traps, weapons, and abilities. He is an expert tracker, and I think he'd make the movie a very exciting chase film. Picture this: tension building as Spidey is racing against Kraven to get to Doc Connors before Kraven attacks Lizard, as Lizard has made his way back home. That reminds me a bit of the Bourne movies, and those are some of my favorite action films of all time :) I do understand the apprehension at the thought of another team up after SM 3. Though, if they reference Max Dillon's origin like how I described in SM 4, they could spend more time on Scorpion's origin in SM 5, and that would equal out the character arcs/development between Scorp. and Electro. See, the biggest problem I saw with the team up in SM 3 was that Sandman got the big spotlight for the entire movie leading up to that point, and then Venom came in and it felt too rushed and shoe-horned. 	I love Lizard, and I think his story arc would add much needed emotional connection with the next movie. They established Connors as a pretty likeable guy, and to see him go from the kind, gentle scientist to a monster who has lost control of his life seems quite beautiful to me, almost reminiscent of Harvey Dent in TDK. But yeah, that team up scene where Venom convinces Sandman to join him was extremely poorly handled. SandmN was like "piss off" at first and Venom said 3 lines and Sandy was like "in that case, sure!" And after that Sandy said he didn't want to hurt anyone or something, how does that make sense when the guy who convinced you only said "let's kill spidey" basically and Sandy was like "sure". 	this is a movie addaptation, and a comic adapatation. idc wat 4 is, but just as long as it's got a good moral then great. anyways, heres my thought on 5: -electro and mysterio mysterio controls electro's mind. causing to use his power without being able to prevent death, and spidey to beat him. eventually electro shud kill mysterio, yet faces the consequences. there shud be more focus on the villian, electro and the city itself instead of the same old thing every movie. at the end we shud see black cat's transformation, and have her and hydro-man as main villians. yes black cat isnt a villian, but to spider-man she is... kyle dalton - 10/9/2009, 9:53 PM

	huh. Interesting. These are two very different works. The one with the great illustration is technically just a treatment, but it's a cool one. It smacks of Raimi's version in the origin section. Things change greatly from treatment to screenplay. I'm still not all the way through it but man... that would have made a hell of a great movie. The one without illustrations is pretty good also. There are some pretty serious flaws but tying Doc Ock's origin in with Spider Man's is not a bad idea really. And again I can't help but notice how similar that story is the Raimi's Spider-Man 2.. I almost suspect plagiarism! Oddly enough Raimi's telling of Doctor Octopus' acquisition of the arms makes more sense, but that's no biggie. 	Great! It would be nice to see Tobey Maguire, Kirsten Dunst, and the rest of the cast and crew film the fourth installment of the super sexy Spider-Man franchise, especially in March 2010, which will be Spring time. Unfortunately, I won't be able to see Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst make Spider-Man 4, because besides being a hard-headed, ugly, stupid, and weird African-American woman; inside and outside; I cause too much trouble, I make far too many mistakes, and most of all, I have an imperfect past. Also, I will be getting the lipoma that I have had on my back since 1995 removed, and once that happens, I will be facing each and every risk alone so that no one will worry about me. On a personal note: Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst will do a wonderful job making Spider-Man 4, just like they did in the first three super successful Spider-Man movies. 	Nothing wrong with the cast of those movies in any way shape or form IMO. Spidey 2 is an absolute classic. As for the villain, its probably going to be Lizard because Connors has been set up already.
