Set to be released in entirety on April 30, samples of the closing and opening titles, “Can You Dig It” and “Iron Man 3,” have surfaced online courtesy of @Antovolk , via Tracksounds podcast. Marvel Studios’ “Iron Man 3” pits brash-but-brilliant industrialist Tony Stark/Iron Man against an enemy whose reach knows no bounds. When Stark finds his personal world destroyed at his enemy’s hands, he embarks on a harrowing quest to find those responsible. This journey, at every turn, will test his mettle. With his back against the wall, Stark is left to survive by his own devices, relying on his ingenuity and instincts to protect those closest to him. As he fights his way back, Stark discovers the answer to the question that has secretly haunted him: does the man make the suit or does the suit make the man? Starring Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Guy Pearce, Rebecca Hall, Stephanie Szostak, James Badge Dale with Jon Favreau and Ben Kingsley, “Iron Man 3” is directed by Shane Black from a screenplay by Drew Pearce & Shane Black and is based on Marvel’s iconic Super Hero Iron Man, who first appeared on the pages of “Tales of Suspense” (#39) in 1963 and had his solo comic book debut with “The Invincible Iron Man” (#1) in May of 1968. “Iron Man 3” is presented by Marvel Studios in association with Paramount Pictures & DMG Entertainment. Marvel Studios’ President Kevin Feige is producing & Jon Favreau, Louis D’Esposito, Stephen Broussard, Victoria Alonso, Alan Fine, Charles Newirth, Stan Lee & Dan Mintz are executive producers. The film hits May 3, 2013, and is distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. Marvel Studios will also release “Thor: The Dark World ” on November 8, 2013; “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” on April 4, 2014; “Guardians of the Galaxy” on August 1, 2014; the sequel to “Marvel's The Avengers” on May 1, 2015; and “Ant-Man” on November 6, 2015!

Is this 1993? Why does this sound like a music to a SEGA game?

WOW... that's pretty bad.
But it DOES sound like a video game from the 90's. Hopefully it's not that bad in the movie.

Are you all serious with this? You're hating on how many seconds of a music clip? What part of "rough snippets from the opening and closing titles" do you all not get? But sure. Have at it.

Hey guys what do you think of this theory:

So Tony beats the Madarin back into the shadows but he drops one or all of his rings. The rings somehow lead him into outer space and he meets up with the Guardians of the Galaxy. Then Iron Man/ Stark stays with the Guardians for their movie, just like he hooked up with them in the comics.

I was thinking the Guardians would be jumping around in time so Tony might show up at the end of their movie, I don't know I'm just spitballing here.

Bryan Tyler hasn't done much worth mentioning with the exception of his current work on Transformers Prime which is probably his best to date. The opening track sounds OK but honestly this movie should have better.

Wow! Sounds just like my 28.8 modem connecting!

Poor recording aside, not blown away so far, but I wasn't with my first listen of THE AVENGERS score either -- and now I hum that tune every day.

The first track sounded sounds okay for closing credits, I imagined it overlayed over animations of Iron Man in a similar manner to The Incredibles. Second track worked for Iron Man's opening theme, has a heroic vibe to it.

Not as epic as I was expecting but I'm still not worried about the soundtrack since Tyler's work on Transformers Prime is remarkable

rockerdude22 - 4/12/2013, 2:18 PM
The first track sounded a little to upbeat for this kind of movie. IDK, maybe it'll work better in context. I liked the second track, though.

It really wasn't that dissapointing to be honest...
I put my money on "Can you dig it" being the end credits song.
And did you guys listen to the second song? It's badass, and really "Brian-Tyler-esque"
