"I play Max Dillon, and this is me before I turn into the villain. My [real] sister is my hair stylist and she created the Django look, Ray Charles and things like that. So, I told her that, when I'm the nerd guy, I want to be the first black man with a comb over. I told her make me look like I would look if I never made it. I had a jheri curl and things didn't go right, so I Jimmy Mack it."

"What’s funny though is doing the voice," Foxx says about playing Max Dillon's villainous alter-ego, Electro. "And the voice is like [growling], 'Yes, a world without mercy, a world without power.' But what’s funny is when I forget my line and I have to go back to my regular voice."

In “The Amazing Spider-Man™ 2,” for Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield), life is busy – between taking out the bad guys as Spider-Man and spending time with the person he loves, Gwen (Emma Stone), high school graduation can’t come quickly enough. Peter hasn’t forgotten about the promise he made to Gwen’s father to protect her by staying away – but that’s a promise he just can’t keep. Things will change for Peter when a new villain, Electro (Jamie Foxx), emerges, an old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, and Peter uncovers new clues about his past. The film is directed by Marc Webb from a screenplay by Alex Kurtzman & Roberto Orci & Jeff Pinkner, with a previous draft by James Vanderbilt, and based on the Marvel Comic Book by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko. Avi Arad and Matt Tolmach are the producers. The latest chapter in the Spider-Man story is set for release in 3D on May 2, 2014.

Lizard
Electro
Rhino
Goblin
_______ <---- secret character whose name I won't spoil

I dunno guys I can smell a sinister six film coming sooner than soon.

However I honestly want to see Spidey take on the REAL Venom. Remember that whole thing about Josh Trank doing the Venom movie??? Perhaps it will explain Eddie Brock Jr.'s experience with the suit after Spidey discovers the symbiote in the 3rd movie???

How many Spider-Man movies are you all up for seeing???

I'd honestly like to see them do what Sam Raimi was aiming to do and at least make 5-6 films.

I'm totally pumped for more spidey! Can't wait!!! :D

He gave a shoutout to Dane Dahaan. "Look out for that dude."

We've been looking out since Chronicle my man. Both him and Michael B. Jordan are going places in Hollywood. Chronicle really got some talented actors in that movie.

I still have doubts about this movie. Harry, MJ, Norman, you got Rhino and Electro all being introduced, with a possibility of green goblin appearing. Sony still hasnt learned theyre lesson from Spiderman 3 it appears.

I would love to see a time travel film featuring Dane Dahaan and Leonardo DiCaprio!!!

Ha. This was strangely awesome. Electro has labored breathing, I've heard it before but still like it. Really I'm just wanting and waiting to see Chris Cooper as the new Goblin, and Electro with some cgi to show off his powers to show the completed look for him.

@HouseOfExtremeSexiness

No, you get the [frick] outta here! lol No one never mentioned Dehann being as much as gifted with acting skills such as DiCaprio. I was just mentioning a film idea!

-Time Travel type of film
-Flashback (sequence) in a film
-Father and Son type of film

Very rarely do you get actors who look similar and let alone being talented actors at that!

So I'll stick to my opinion with no doubts at all.

Every time I see that comb over my face wants to headbutt my palm.

The voice is alright. Nothing memorable but at least it doesn't sound like he smokes three packs of cigarettes a day, has strep and is simultaneously being punched in the gut.

I'm starting to think Dane will have a bigger role in this than we thought he would...

I like his voice, it's cool. I wish he looked like The Spectacular Spiderman version. But they say he gets a suit so we'll see how that turns out

@ReeferMadness I believe it was confirmed a few weeks ago that Jamie's voice will be digitally distorted in the manner he's talking in the video to represent the distortion electricity would do to one's voice. Plus, it could be assumed that the electricity would do something to his voice box after the transformation.

In other words, use some common sense, stop judging it when you haven't seen SHIT in regards to the role, and stop trolling. :)

"Did you stick your head in the airport toilet?"

Good one. xD

Jai Courtney could pull off Eddie Brock in future movies.

Are all the villains in Spiderman going to be oscorp scientists who have an experiment go wrong. Its lazy. This film will make money but I cant see it be any good. Its a shame as you can do so much more with the character.

I have faith in Jamie Foxx as Electro. People tend to forget that Foxx is a man of a million voices and imitations. But some may wonder what Webb was thinking having so many characters in the movie. Spiderman 3 was an abomination because they threw a bunch of random story-lines together and tried to make it fit into one movie. Introducing multiple characters can work as long as each character serves some logical purpose. People wondered how Peter Jackson could pull the Hobbit off and so far, his track record for making movies with huge casts is pretty good. So at the end of the day, the director needs to be on top of things.

I think Foxx will really pull it out of the bag with this one. He sure sounds like he's/ is enjoying the role.

He's been amazing in a number of movies, and I imagine this will be no different. As tacky as it sounds, I'd love his voice to sound like the Electric Monster from the 2nd live action Scooby Doo movie...That would be cool

So is he done shooting already?
Is the film on post?
