“Captain America: The Winter Soldier” picks up where “Marvel’s The Avengers” left off, as Steve Rogers struggles to embrace his role in the modern world and teams up with Natasha Romanoff, aka Black Widow, to battle a powerful yet shadowy enemy in present-day Washington, D.C. Starring Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Cobie Smulders, Frank Grillo, Georges St-Pierre, Hayley Atwell, Toby Jones, Emily VanCamp and Maximiliano Hernández with Samuel L. The creative production team on the film includes director of photography Trent Opaloch, production designer Peter Wenham, editors Jeffrey Ford, A.C.E. and Mary Jo Markey, A.C.E. and three time Oscar®-nominated costume designer Judianna Makovsky. “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” is set for release on April 4, 2014. Old Peggy? So she would be........... 100 years old? She's probably 20-40 in TFA, and this is 70 years later...

I like that they're incorporating the old Peggy into this. It'll probably put Caps mind at ease and stop all those Flashbacks combined with seeing Bucky again

Caps helmet looks great on Evans btw I'm excited for this movie now. I was a lil nervous about how he would look but seeing the helmet up close....wow it looks great! good job marvel. In the avengers 2 keep that helmet and put him back in the stars and stripes and we'll have a great cap costume!

That's how Peggy will look after the CGI treatment:

NoAssemblyReqd
NoAssemblyReqd - 6/20/2013, 5:00 PM
Awesome. They used CG to de-age Magneto, Xavier and Severus Snape. I think using the tech to age in the other direction for Peggy will look even more convincing.

This shows how much cgi is that good....instead of using an actuall elderly person.....Maybe Betty White could've been good.....I guess.....
Tainted87
Tainted87 - 6/20/2013, 5:11 PM
CGI to make her look older..... come on guys, there's something wrong there. Makes me think of Revenge of the Sith, and how Padme's babies were delivered by CGI droids instead of what would have been probably the most effective and dramatic rendition - to have Obi-Wan midwifing the Skywalkers.

Practical effects would be nice.

DCMarvelFreshman - 6/20/2013, 5:12 PM
I'd like to apologize for those who didn't wish to know the direction they were going with Peggy Carter, but it's pretty much out there. I used Chris Evans' pic as the teaser so that there'd be a bit of surprise factor.
Nick56
Nick56 - 6/20/2013, 5:13 PM
wouldn't it be easier just to use make-up?
jamesbrando3
jamesbrando3 - 6/20/2013, 5:15 PM
So apparently they're not even attempting to put make up on, CG all the way. Damn, how old are they gonna make her if they need to go that route? Oh well I trust them, look at skinny Steve for proof they can pull it off
third3ye
third3ye - 6/20/2013, 5:17 PM
Exposed ears look better with Chris Evans vs the motorcycle stunt guy. Also there's carbon fiber details on the helmet, couldn't see that on the previous shots and artwork. Helmet looks a bit cheap though, probably will look less cheap on camera.
