In the pantheon of superheroes, Superman is the most recognized and revered character of all time. Clark Kent/Kal-El (Cavill) is a young twentysomething journalist who feels alienated by powers beyond anyone’s imagination. Transported to Earth years ago from Krypton, an advanced alien planet, Clark struggles with the ultimate question – Why am I here? Shaped by the values of his adoptive parents Martha (Lane) and Jonathan Kent (Costner), Clark soon discovers that having super abilities means making very difficult decisions. But when the world needs stability the most, it comes under attack. Will his abilities be used to maintain peace or ultimately used to divide and conquer? Clark must become the hero known as “Superman,” not only to shine as the world’s last beacon of hope but to protect the ones he loves. In theaters June 14, 2013.

Awesome movie. Best CBM villain ever. Unlike many other villains, Zod had a genuine cause.

my second favorite superhero film of the year behind The Wolverine, this has beena solid year for superhero films,it started out solid imo with iron man 3, got better for me with man of steel and the wolverine and hopefully it will end well with thor, Zod was my favorite comic book villain of the year but the best villain of the year still for me is KHAN

Michael Shannon came to my school a few days ago. He is definitely one of the creepiest, most intimidating guys ive ever seen. Stared people down when they asked him questions. Friggin hilarious tho, hes got this great dry sense of humor

Anyone remember the supposed Martian Manhunter mention? Was that a real thing in a deleted scene or was that just a rumor?

Mrmegadeath-dude movies can be light films with substance, you always come here and start a war
ezio619
ezio619 - 10/28/2013, 9:04 AM
there tons of films that are light and stillhave substance suach as the first star was, indiana jones 1 and 3 etc.
TheWolverine08
TheWolverine08 - 10/28/2013, 9:05 AM
The Wolverine didn't treat the comic book genre like a bod joke. Anyways, Man of Steel was pretty great!
ezio619
ezio619 - 10/28/2013, 9:05 AM
ezio619-i know that but so what if it has tons of humor,so many comic books today, especially marvel comics have humor in them ,daredevil, hawkeye etc, and those books are lauded because they still have a good story and good arc for the characters so as long as they can do that, it will be good
ezio619
ezio619 - 10/28/2013, 9:09 AM
and plus people that i have taked to and heard from who didnt like iron man 3 or thought it was alright gave it another chance and they liked or loved it because theycould process the dramatic and emotional scenes and the movie and felt they were well done, now i do think especially during the final battle they overdid the humor and do hope thor doesnt overdo it and it doesnt bother me in the film
ezio619
ezio619 - 10/28/2013, 9:10 AM
Mrmegadeath-yeah ,but people still love those films and consider them classics ,not just people who werearound during that time but even the younger generation of today
