Crossover Battles are a series of near-weekly discussion articles and polls in which two of your favourite characters from different universes clash in an all out battle. Have you ever debated with your friends whether Batman could beat Black Panther or if Green Arrow can outshoot Hawkeye? Crossover Battles is a place where such arguments can be settled once and for all. The results of each Battle are posted in the following Crossover Battles article. The polls last until the results are posted. Whichever character has the most supporters wins.

ABOUT DEATHSTROKE

Universe: DC Comics

First Appearance: The New Teen Titans #2 (December 1980)

Occupation: Assassin, Anti-hero, Super-villain, Super Soldier

Powers/Abilities: Often considered to be the greatest assassin in the DC Universe, Deathstroke is a master strategist and tactician, with brawn to match. Deathstroke possesses a limited healing factor, and has slightly enhanced strength, agility, speed and senses but make no mistake: he was in peak physical condition even before he obtained his super-human abilities. He is an expert in hand to hand combat, marksmanship and we wears high tech armour. Deathstroke has been known to use various guns, swords and other heavy artillery.

In the weaknesses department, Deathstroke has only one functional eye.

Profile:

Slade Wilson served in the United States military before he was chosen for a super soldier experiment that enhanced his already impressive abilities and senses. Wilson eventually left the military and, over time, would use his abilities as a mercenary and killer for hire (albeit an incredibly expensive one) known as Deathstroke the Terminator. Wilson is now considered to be one of, if not the greatest assassin in the DC Universe, having fought the likes of Batman, Superman, the Atom, and Green Arrow. As a matter of fact, he once managed to beat Batman in a fight, an incredibly tough endeavour. Deathstroke has been known to serve as a nemesis for the Teen Titans.

ABOUT BOBA FETT

Universe: Star Wars

First Appearance: Star Wars Holiday Special (November 1978)

Occupation: Bounty Hunter

Powers/Abilites: Like Deathstroke, Fett is often considered the best at his similar occupation in his respective universe. Trained by the great Jango Fett in various methods of combat, Boba Fett is also an impressive strategist and tactician. Fett is astonishingly perceptive, as he was able to detect a stealthy Luke Skywalker and track down the Millennium Falcon, among other feats.

Boba Fett utilises exceptional marksmanship and is known for wearing powerful durasteel Mandalorian armour. Fett commands a variety of tools and weapons include various blasters, two wrist flame throwers, durable detachable cables, a jet pack, grenade launchers, a missile, and rocket darts. His helmet also contains comlinks, sensors, and binoculars.

Profile:

Very little is known of Boba Fett. We know that he is an unaltered clone of his "father," the reputable bounty hunter Jango Fett, and that he was trained by Jango Fett and later other infamous bounty hunters after he watched Jango die at the hands of Jedi Master Mace Windu as a child. As an adult, Fett regularly worked for the gangster called Jabba the Hutt and gained a reputation as one of, if not the best bounty hunter in the galaxy. Fett has proven himself more than a match for Han Solo, and he even held a fight with Darth Vader in the non-canon expanded universe. Boba Fett is a true mercenary, and thanks to his skill, only the rich can afford him.

Fett operated from the late prequel era to the late era of the Galactic Empire. During the events of Return of the Jedi, he was caught in a moment of weakness after becoming so determined to obtain Luke Skywalker without a plan that Han Solo managed to unwittingly knocked him into the Sarlacc Pitt. Boba Fett hasn't been seen since but, according to legend, Boba Fett became the only person to ever escape the Sarlacc Pit, and he continued operating for decades to come.

In the canon, armour strongly resembling Fett's was discovered by Jawas near the wreckage of Jabba's sale barge shortly after the events of Return of the Jedi. The armour was obtained by a sheriff named Codd Vanth.

GROUND RULES
  • Both the defunct expanded universe and every mainstream DC Universe from before the New 52 applies to this battle. No Elseworlds stories apply, however.
  • Both characters have an equally high price on their heads. Both characters are wanted dead or alive.
  • This battle takes place in an environment that is equally familiar to both characters. Therefore, neither has the environmental advantage.
  • "Boba Fett is over-rated," "Deathstroke is over-rated," and "Boba Fett didn't do anything!" are not valid arguments in terms of who wins this battle.
  • Yes, Boba Fett was knocked into the Sarlacc Pit. I don't think that that one scene alone makes this an unfair fight, as embarrassing as it may be. What is that one scene compared to the rest of the character's history? Has Deathstroke never had to suffer at the hands of poor writing and a few uncharacteristically bad moments? Just something to take into consideration.
  • Because I write these battles, I never participate in them. I want these to be 100% fair and unbiased in terms of voting and discussion. You decide the winner, I only judge the winner from the statistics. Both comments and the poll are counted.

Next week's battle will be one that I originally had planned for CROSSOVER BATTLES 2014 but never got to use. Call it "The Lost Battle" if you will.

I am also taking suggestions into consideration, though there are no guarantees.

I hope these images are helpful. These are the best I could find:
