I don't know about you, but I've been waiting too long for an Invincible movie. No, not that one with Marky Mark about football or was he a football assassin? However, there is a Mark in this story, and his name is Mark Grayson aka INVINCIBLE. Dripping with drama, exploding with action, bleeding with violence, twistier than M. Night Shamalanamaman's last name, Invincible is the BEST coming of age story I have ever subdued my bitter ol' eyes into enjoying. Unfortunately, Invincible exists only in our minds and deep within the comic shop. The only way to let the world enjoy his story is to set him free and then imprison him in celluloid so we can watch him over and over to our heart's content. I give you the cast of Invincible.

First things first. I start with Omni Man. When I look at Nolan Grayson's face the first person I thought of was Daniel Day Lewis. I doubt he would do it since most of his movies are purposefully Oscar-bound.

I know DD Lewis probably wont do it so I have to have a second pic. You may not see it at first, but I think Matthew Fox would make a great Nolan Grayson. He's got enough height and build to be imposing. Throw a mustache on him, add a fatherly attitude and BANG! Omni Man.

And now for Mark Grayson himself. Some of you will hate this choice. Zack Efron with his hair out of his face looks less boyish and chipmonky. With darker hair and his slim physique, I think he's a dead ringer for ol' INVINCIBLE.

For Marks mom, Debbie Grayson I chose Carla Gugino. Yes, she's already been in a couple comic book movies. I know. I know. She just looks so much like her!

Red Heads! Ohohohohho. They are my kryptonite. I chose Kate Mara for Mark's steaming hot love interest Atom Eve. I also chose the youngest looking photo of her I could find because they start off in high school, you know.

I chose Sam Huntington for Mark's sidekick friend Billy. Billy is humorous but has a few layers to him as well. I like Huntington and I feel like he could make the role shine.

Who better to play Cecil than the father of all government men than Hugo Weaving. Yeah, his name comes up a lot, but hey, man's gotta work!

Just for fun, I did a few Guardians of the Globe. First up, The Immortal. This guy took me forever to cast. I ended up with Vincent Regan. He has a regal air and a dominating personality, perfect for the Immortal.

For Darkwing 2 I have Michael Jai White. The man just looks like he will kill you.

Since Robot is just a kid I chose Mark L. Young. He was in this silly movie I watched called Sex Drive. Any other kid would probably work. I liked him.

For Black Sampson I chose Terry Crews. He is the scariest looking funny guy I have ever seen. I think as long as he doesnt DO anything funny, I believe he can pull off Black Sampson.

I like the concept of Monster Girl so I had to cast her. Little miss sunshine's Abigail Breslin as Monster Girl. Fear her! Awwwww...

And now for the Rogues.
First we have Ron Perlman as Battle Beast. He's been the beast before, why not again? Suicidal instead of tender, a real beast not some la ti da kitty kat! Yeah, yeah he's hellboy. Whatever.

Who better to play snide little D.A. Sinclaire than Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Plus, he looks just like 'em!

Lastly, Harold Perrineau as Angstrom Levy. I believe a good villain has to have a highly exercised sense of self righteousness. They're not necessarily evil, they believe they are in the right at all times. Harold Perrineau displays this quality best in the series, LOST. When his son is kidnapped, He is prepared to do anything to get him back safely, even murder. Normally a very likable and trustworthy person, when pushed to the brink of desperation, he loses all sense of morality.

I will be updating this constantly. If you think of anyone that'll work. Let me know!

I dont know anything about the comic, so im not going to take the time to make a big response. I would like to say this is the nicest set up of a fan fic ive ever seen on here, great lay out with good pics that all match up, and you give a reason of why you picked that actor for the character. I would like from now on for everyone to bring up there post to this level of class.

Thank you.

It really is a good comic. I picked up #1 on a whim a while back. I thought it looked straight forward and good. At first it seemed like a simple coming of age story of discovering one's self through developing into a super crime fighter, and it is.

By issue 10 or 11, i cant remember which, you learn that Invincible's father, who is a superman-like character, has been going around the world murdering the most powerful super heroes in order to take over planet. He's like, poppin' heads off left and right.

Invincible then learns that his father is a member of an alien race where each citizen is as powerful as superman(they dont say it like that), and his father had been sent to take over earth to further the empire. A bloody battle ensues between father and son.

Thats the bare bones beginning of the story.

I hate to say it like this but I like how the violence is delivered in this series. The style and use of color for the character design is on the happy side of things. Then someone gets punched in the face and their jaw rips off and out of its skin with Happily colored blood everywhere. Im sick I know. Then there will be a break from the extreme violence for an issue or two. Well balanced I think.

Yeah i agree, it's a very happy kinda style. It makes me think of Clayton Hanry's art mixed with a Daredevil Ninja style of color and action we haven't seen since the first issues of Savage Dragon. All in all, it's a very good comic :)
