John Arturo - When did you start collecting and how did you get into the hobby?

Rusty Shackleford - I started when I was 12 years old. I saw the first Spider-Man movies and was an instant fan. So I went to the nearest store and bought out all of their Spider-man collectible items.

John Arturo - It looks like you have a few custom pieces in your collection. Did you do those yourself?

Rusty Shackleford - Yes, I always love creating my own custom pieces. I started with Iron Man 2 pieces and can't stop making them.

John Arturo - Do you collect anything else?

Rusty Shackleford - Yes. I collect weapons and artifacts from around the world. Also replica props and costumes from movies and video games.

John Arturo - What is your favorite collectibles company?

Rusty Shackleford - Even though I do not own much from Sideshow Collectibles, they are my favorite. The detail and quality they make is great!

John Arturo - What is your favorite part of collecting?

Rusty Shackleford - Finding unique items and always adding something new to it.

John Arturo - What is the key thing you look for in an item you want to add to your collection?

Rusty Shackleford - Accuracy and Quality are what I look for.

John Arturo - What is your favorite movie?

Rusty Shackleford - I love all the CBMs but my favorite would have to be between Iron Man, Thor, and Captain America.

John Arturo - What is your favorite piece from your collection?

Rusty Shackleford - Probably my Captain America shields and Wolverine Claws.

John Arturo - What are some items you are most looking forward to adding to your collection?

Rusty Shackleford - Props from the Avengers movie like Thor's Hammer, Hawkeye's bow and arrows, and more replica mask (Deadpool, Spider-man, Batman, Wolverine, etc).

John Arturo - Finally, what is your favorite aspect of ComicBookMovie.com?

Rusty Shackleford - The quickness of finding great news faster and better than most places.

If you want to know more about collecting statues/high end items, or just want to see what kind of interesting collectibles are out there, visit my statue devoted site Lethal Farce.

If you have a collection (don't worry about the size, it could be 4-5 items and that is still a collection right?) and want me to showcase it on the site, then shoot me an email by clicking the "Contact Me" link here. I will shoot you a few questions to answer to go along with the images and once a week we will showcase a users collection on here.

I've got a shit ton of Marvel Legends figures from when i was like 12. Do I qualify for this? Because, to be honest, this isn't exactly the most impressive thing in the world. A lot of the stuff is made out of cardboard. When did cosplay items become the same thing as collectibles?

That Bane mask looks cool, looks like how I'd imagine the official replica mask will look if they release one when the movie comes out. Made from foamy material and stretchy!

@dellamorte if u don't have the time for a collection, then how do you believe that you have the right to judge another persons collection. Who cares if some of it is home made "one mans trash, is another mans treasure" rings pretty true when collecting stuff.
