Cillian Murphy Wants To See A Dark Knight Sequel!

The actor who played The Scarecrow in 'Batman Begins' and 'The Dark Knight' has spoken to MTV about his hopes for a third installment!

"I hope they make a third one," he told MTV News. "I think 'The Dark Knight' was one of the greatest films."

However, according to the actor Nolan hasnt let any details slip on the set of 'Inception' in which Murphy features.

"We don’t talk about those things. It's out of my control."

He also went on to say that 'The Dark Knight' may not turn out to be the film series' peak just yet!

"'The Dark Knight' is one of the greatest blockbuster mainstream movies," the actor stated. "If anyone can match that or top that it’s Chris. Fingers crossed."

	I get the feeling he is hoping for a third film...so he can have a part in it. I love him as an actor, but let's face it, he hasn't done much since his small part in TDK (main stream anyways). 	I think it was a great idea to have him have a part in 'The Dark Knight'! I wish Raimi hadnt killed every villain apart from Sandman because imagine how cool it would have been for Spider-Man 3 to have opened up with Spidey facing off against a minor villain like Shocker or Rhino! Cillian Murphy is a great actor! I really hope that he's back next time with an even bigger part - the Scarecrow was my favourite part of Batman Begins! 	Despite how it's pretty obvious by now that the villains who'll be the main focus of the next movie to be The Riddler and possibly Catwoman, I'd still love to see Scarecrow, even if it is just a cameo in Arkham as had been stated earlier. I'm also pretty positive that Joker will have a Hannibal Lecter type of role in the movie. And if it turns out Two-Face isn't actually dead, I will be a happy boy. 	I actually consider Cillian Murphy as the unsung sleeper surprise of Batman Begins. He played his roll so well and perfect, not bad for being a mid tiered baddie in that film and then to see him in the next movie and his little dialog with Batman really foreshadow much in the short amount of time he was on screen. Yeah he will be back just don't know how. For crying out loud, I hated the movie Red Eye with him and Rachel McAdams, but he is the only reason why I kept watching it. 	ComicFreak@ No Bane please. It would make a terrible movie. How the hell would Bane work this early in the movies the script would be half @$$ like spiderman 3. Not enough story has been established. First you would have to have Batman feeling overwelmed and that he is not doing enough to save ppl. Then he decides to use the drug venom and what that almost costs him. That right there is one movie itself. Then you have to have Bane aguiring the drug and breaking Batman's back. Then who are they going to get to replace Batman for a time Jean Paul Vally (Azrael) that Batman sux and it would take to long to establish a back story on him and Dick Grayson cant take over bc there is no Robin or Nightwing in the movies yet if ever. To have Bane in the next film would be just as bad as Spiderman 3 and Superman: Doomday the animated movie Riddler for the next villian and have it be like Saw on a city scale. And has Batman use his detective skills and brilliance to find the Riddler. And maybe have flash backs to when he was younger learning to be a great detective. 	i never really cared much for bane. or scarecrow for that matter, but murphy made him, at leat for me, way more interesting than the comics version. i'd really like to see the riddler, he should be the villain in the next film. i really like his role in current comics as a detective. i say bring him as the guy who's trying to catch him, just make him a twisted man with his own view on justice... maybe put people in danger to lure bats out. johndalb - 10/22/2009, 11:28 AM

	I suggested a Mr. Freeze movie but it would kinda go against Nolans idea or realism although he could definitely pull it off. If not Freeze i suggest a Bane movie. I love the riddler but in would be to similar to the TDK and should be the 4th installation. With bane it would be a high strung action movie and because of that it would allow a lot of plot to be built elsewhere like the batcave... I love the idea of Mr. Scarface. It would be a little creepy and it would keep the mob involved in the batman series. And please NO CATWOMAN!! God thats why rachel was killed off we dont need a romantic interest in these films and what are we gonna show, batman beating the hell out of a woman thats real hero-like. 	Mazoku@ No Bane please. Read my comment above why Bane should not be in the next movie. It is just to early and would be a bad script to do it now there is just to much set up for it and a lot of events need to happen first. If not it will be like Spiderman 3 and Superman: Doomsday the animated film. The reason we need the Riddler is because they need to show Batman's detective skills like I said above Batman is supposed to be a modern day Sherlock Holmes. He was created to be like a Pulp Detective they have never showed that in the movies. The new movies still take place in Batman's early days kind of like Batman year one and the Dark Knight publication and I would like to see flash backs to when he was young studying to be a great detective. The whole point of Bane was that he broke Batman's back if they did that who is going to take over for him while he is recouperating.
