Adam Goldstein filmed a cameo for Iron Man 2 two months before his death in August, 2009 when he died of an accidental drug overdose. He appeared as himself DJing Tony Stark's birthday party and it was later decided that despite his death, the scene would be kept in the movie. In the following special feature courtesy of MTV's Splash Page, Favreau talks about his death and the effect it had on both him and the movie. Goldstein (who was interviewed on set at the time of filming) also shares his thoughts about working on Iron Man 2 which you can check out below!

"AM was a very genuine, genuine guy," Favreau says in the special feature. "I wasn't the best director that week, because I would always go up to him and be like, 'Show me something! Tell me something!' He ended up being there a week for the whole party scene. It was great."

"He was going through a rough time and I didn't even know it. Not that I was his closest friend, but I definitely felt connected to him. When he passed, it was...It hit me very, very hard."

"We thanked him at the end of the film: 'In memory of Adam Goldstein' with the little AC/DC lightning bolt in the middle of it. He had fun on it, and it was a real gift to be able to share a few months with the guy and get to know him. Hopefully his family and friends find comfort in it and are able to see that and see him, and hopefully it brings back nice memories for them."

Iron Man 2 will be released on DVD and Blu-Ray on September 28th in the US and on October 28th in the UK.

No offence to the guy but who is he? =/ Never heard of him and he had like a 5 second cameo in the film, that's hardly a "tribute"

i personally loved iron man 2 it was about the same rating as iron man 1 in a way but yet i'd say they where telling a different story so they where different... and that's not a bad thing iron man 2 could have been done better but it still doesn't mean it was a bad film...
