So there you have it. As many of you correctly guessed, the new Thor is actually Jane Foster, who's super-heroics have evidently elevated her cancer symptoms. Could this be setting up Natalie Portman eventually taking over from Chris Hemsworth in the role in the MCU? Well it's widely believed that'll be the case for Anthony Mackie's Falcon once Chris Evans hangs up the Captain America shield, so it's definitely a possibility. What do you guys think of this reveal anyway?

I really like what Jason Aaron did in God of Thunder, but this is lame. I was really hoping it was Roz Solomon. I've just recently gotten into Thor, so Jane Foster has never been an important character in my mind. Also, even as speculation, I don't like the idea of her becoming Thor in the MCU. Thor's supporting cast is the weakest of the MCU (not counting The Incredible Hulk).

Wonder if this turn of events would [frick] it up, I can't really say much before reading the whole story, but the idea of Jane having the powers of Thor? I dunno...again, don't know shit about the story so might make sense in there. I can see people getting butthurt about it easily though hahah

Who in their right mind are the "widely believed" idiots who think Mackie is taking over for Evans in the movie universe??? How will Mackie sell a cap movie? More likely scenario would be Winter Soldier taking over as in comic story line...I mean Whedon has said no to Ultimate Universe Spiderman...so why take all of the possible regular Cap stories from over the years and throw them out the window to go with the whole Black cap storyline? A storyline in the comics which is going to revert back sooner or later...that sells nothing currently...

its widely known that the MCU is separate from the 616 universe and the ultimate universe. Feige and Quesada have both said that they just pull references from the 616 and ultimate's universe
