Maybe they don't want to call her Princess anymore because that would officially make her a Disney Princess.
Probably also why they don't want to see her sexualised anymore.

I know I wouldn't stop calling myself a Princess just because my planet blew up. I'd see that as a perfect opportunity to promote myself to Queen. I'd just swan aeround the galaxy introducing myself as the Queen of Alderan and embarrassing the fvck out of a long-suffering Han Solo.

I don't know why people think Disney doesn't touch more mature material. The whole Princess Leia thing doesn't have anything to do with their wanting her to be a Disney Princess. They're not editing out her Slave Leia scenes. They simply said they are not marketing Slave Leia anymore as a toy. People have got to get over Disney only doing family films. Yes, it has the strongest foothold in that market, buT it is a multi billion dollar corporation with subsidiaries and assets all over the place. And, people need to remember that Pulp Fiction was produced by Miramax when it was owned by Disney.

I'm pretty sure that the "green circles" in Leia marketing is the holographic war map which her and Ackbar make the strategies. So people complaining about that should STFU.
