Trailer Report: THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 Is Set To Become The Most Viewed Preview For A 2014 Summer Film Release In Less Than 7 Days

The teaser trailer released for the sequel of The Amazing Spider-Man is on course of surpassing both Captain America: The Winter Soldier and X-Men: Days Of Future Past in number of views.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 trailer No. 1 scored 19.4 million views and it's on course to take the top spot as the Internet's most viewed trailer for an upcoming 2014 summer film.

The second part of the Marc Webb's take on the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man racked up a pretty impressive number of views and it's becoming clear that the wallcrawler is back as one of the main players of the next summer - if not THE main player.

Add in the views for the movie's international trailer released at the same date by Sony Pictures, the number becomes even more surreal, 21.3 million views in less than 6 days. For the sake of comparison, the first trailer for Captain America: The Winter Soldier has right now 23.2 million views, while X-Men: Days of Future Past has 21.8 million views, both been released more than one month ago.

At this rate, it's easy to predict that in one or two days, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 will have the most viewed trailer for a 2014 film release. Since its online debut last week, the majority of fans have been voicing their approval of the new trailer, which will be attached to theatrical screenings of The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug starting this Friday. But what did YOU think of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 trailer? Be sure to vote in the poll below, and share your complete thoughts in the comments.

I personally think that The Amazing Spider-Man 2 teaser trailer is easily the best trailer for a superhero film since The Avengers second trailer. As a longtime Spider-Man fan, I don't remember been this excited for a film for a long time, especially one featuring Spider-Man. I believe Marc Webb found the right balance for this film and this is one of those films that it felt special since it's inception. While I liked The Amazing Spider-Man, it was a very flawed film. I feel like this has the potential to become the equivalent of The Dark Knight for the Spider-Man franchise, if not in the sense of transcending the genre like Nolan did with that film, in the sense of becoming one of the best examples that this genre can offer, like The Avengers. May, 2014 couldn't come soon enough.

Not only will the trailer have more views than both WS and DOFP, but it will blow both away in the box office.

It was a great trailer, great presentation, but it didn't make me fall in love with the series. It just gave me some hope is all.

Webb is murdering the essence of Spider-Man. Cool trailer or no cool trailer.

Quantity does not necessarily mean quality. Captain America and the X-men trailers are the best I've seen yet, and the fact that Webb decides that he needs to recycle villains from the Raimi trilogy: Doc Ock, New Goblin, and possibly Venom- instead of choosing to go with three new villains to go along with Electro, Rhino, and Vulture for the Sinister Six proves that he doesn't have a adventurous bone in his body whereas the X-men and Cap films are something new and exciting. So, this trailer may be getting the most views and the film may even beat Cap and X-men in the box office for a while but be prepared to be dethroned Spiderman!!!

Probably getting views like that reaction you get passing a car wreck on a highway... you can't believe your eyes on how HORRIBLE it is!!

@Vandinejd he's not exactly recycling minor villains. If he left out Venom, Goblin or Ock we riot!! The fact that he featured lizard and rhino with nods to the Vulture and Shocker are what sets it apart from the Raimi trilogy. Oh and RAVENCROFT!!! You're only one step from complaining about his suit being stolen from the Raimi trilogy as if they aren't both based on the same comic series.

Since all these studios are trying to top each other recently maybe Marvel will put together a GOTG trailer

Marc Webb is doing a great job with, Spider-Man. It doesn't surprise me that Spider-Man is getting more views because Captain America doesn't attract overseas and people just aren't that into the X-Men movies for whatever reason (in no way am I defending The Last Stand and Origins). Spider-Man is the most popular Marvel hero and one of the big three, therefore no surprise. He'll obviously be the biggest hit of at least next summer. Plus, I'm sure it'll make more than, The Amazing Spider-Man because the first one was good and I think people have finally warmed up to it and let go that they've rebooted the franchise.

I'm as much of an X-Men fan as I am a Spider-Man fan, and by that I mean they are truly my favorite superheroes. With that said, I sincerily can't bring myself to care about Bryan Singer's take in the X-Men. The fact that he spoiled the twist of his own film by revealing who would be the villain of the next film - among other decisions of him - made pretty weary of the X-Men franchise.

I loved what James Mangold did with The Wolverine. Up until the point that it was clear that Fox was forcing him to have a cliche superhero final fight with the Silver Samurai. I wish that instead of Singer, Fox would give free reign for both Mangold and Vaughn of the X-Men franchise.

I'll be there opening day for DoFP as well, but The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Winter Soldier and Guardians of The Galaxy are BY FAR my most anticipated films of the next year.

Maybe it's because Spider-Man is more popular than Cap and the X-Men combined.

I will see the movie when it is released. But I'm not anticipating it nor am I expecting much from it.
