Ben Affleck Named 'Batman' For MAN OF STEEL Sequel; WB Announces July 2015 Release Date
There's been quite a bit of satirical backlash from this casting decision but as history tells us, when fans cry outrage over a comic book casting decision, the actor usually turns in a stellar performance. Ben Affleck certainly has the acting ability to pull off a convincing Bruce Wayne, it's his take on Batman that will make or break this role for him.

ARROW Episode 205 Titled 'The Demon's Head' - Ra's al Ghul On The Way?
The title has since been amended to League of Assassins, but that only slightly lowers the chance of Ra's appearing and increases the likelihood of other League members and affiliates (such as Lady Shiva) making an appearance. The Batman villains will reportedly be after Oliver's (Stephen Amell) new love interest in Arrow season 2. Homeland's Abu Nazir, actor Navid Negahban, has also been cast as a League member set to go toe-to-toe with Green Arrow in Starling City.

For one, his origin story will be different as Hank Pym will (most likely) not be his creator. Whedon did go on to say that the character will retain his "anger" which usually manifests itself in a desire to wipe all of humanity from the face of the Earth.

How an American is going to play Batman I will never know. Do you know how much tea he will have to drink? And they drink it once a day everyday! Ben will never catch up!!! Acting is for the Brits!!! Or in a pinch you can us an Australian. Americans can only be supporting cast. COME ON WB!

I think that if you're one of those people hating on Affleck because of Daredevil. I think it's unfair.

The problem was Mark Steven Johnson, the director & the script.
Affleck was miscasted and directed by someone who shouldn't be directing feature films, let alone write them.

You could have casted fan fav Michael C Hall and it still would have sucked.

Mark Steven Johnson directed 2 of the worse comicbook movies, both have that same shitty flavor with both starring roles miscasted.

Not saying Affleck is the best choice but it could have been worse.

It's exciting that they've finally cast a new Batman for the upcoming movie, but does anyone get the feeling that DC is going a little too fast with the whole "Superman/Batman" project. They can make movies independent of trying to show up Marvel.

In this reality: Kevin Smith sucks!

He's like some fat retard stuck in the mid 1990's. Needless to say he's going to Kickstarter to finance Clerks 3. So 20 years after Clerks, Smith is still stuck on the bottom of the film industry but Steven Seagal is there as well so maybe misery likes company.

Maybe Smith will get to visit the set though because he knows Affleck. Maybe he will get to see how real movies are made, the kind of movies he doesn't make.
Maybe he will get to eat some WB food and smoke some joints with the crew also.
Something for him to look forward to.

I seen to have the opposite opinion to everyone, I love the idea of Ben playing Batman yet I completely hate the idea of Bradley voicing Rocket Racoon.
