We’ve always known that Spider-Man’s most important battle has been within himself: the struggle between the ordinary obligations of Peter Parker and the extraordinary responsibilities of Spider-Man. But in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Peter Parker finds that a greater conflict lies ahead.

It’s great to be Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield). For Peter Parker, there’s no feeling quite like swinging between skyscrapers, embracing being the hero, and spending time with Gwen (Emma Stone). But being Spider-Man comes at a price: only Spider-Man can protect his fellow New Yorkers from the formidable villains that threaten the city. With the emergence of Electro (Jamie Foxx), Peter must confront a foe far more powerful than he. And as his old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, Peter comes to realize that all of his enemies have one thing in common: OsCorp.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 will be directed by Marc Webb from a script written by Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci, Jeff Pinkner and James Vanderbilt. The film will star Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy, Sally Field as Aunt May, Shailene Woodley as Mary Jane Watson, Paul Giamatti as Rhino, Jamie Foxx is Electro and Chris Cooper as Norman Osborn. The Amazing Spider-Man sequel will swing into theaters May 2, 2014.

Nah. I predict with Harry being the Goblin on the glider, Norman will be Hulk Goblin, which I have no problem with.

His teeth green, too?
Damn. He really got turned.

Well at least he isn't an armored power-ranger.

TankD@ because some things just don't work on screen no matter how simple it seems hence caps costume being so bulky in Avengers Assemble the goblins hat would be flopping everywhere and just look stupid.

The goblin is Dane DeHaan, the face is Dane DeHaan

@Luminus Having that purple hat won't make or break the Goblin as a villain. Just like having the green and yellow costume won't make or break Electro.

I think Harry is just going to be the glider Goblin and that's it. I'm unsure as to why there is no mask maybe there is an explanation in the film for it but i do think that Norman could transform into the ultimate goblin in this film or a future TASM film.

The word "silly" should not be used when criticizing elements of a Spider-Man film. It is an invalid term to use in regards to a man who spins webs and swings around the city in a brightly colored unitard.

@FightAs0ne: Green Goblin without the hat and mask is like Venom without the sharp teeth and long tongue. It's like Batman without a cape; Superman in all Black because primary colors on screen "look silly."

@COREYxYEROC: +1. It's the reason why Teen Titans was canceled. Not enough toy sales.

How does that Gorgeous Goblin mask look more silly than the crap they used???? It's the same face just metal with a fixed expression. The whole reason for the mask is to hide his identity & cause terror & that mask is way more terrifying than the one used in the movie!!!

And I agree with @fangz I hate when they make them take off their mask & 5 or 6 people their identity per movie! By the end of Spiderman 2 half of New York saw his face.

[frick]!!!

Its not so hard!!

Give him a creepy latex goblin mask!!! Just like the [frick]ing comics!

They are going to mainstream this and go with the twilight pretty boy version.

@ luminus

now that's how the green goblin should look, but with a latex mask.

I'm pretty sure since Osborn has a few bucks his goblin mask would be top of the line latex. (And the fact that I could see Bill Defoe's mouth when he was talking through the mask bugged me but his performence was sick)

I'm telling you the studio execs probably told Sam to change it because his other villains were pretty spot on like that goblin mask. Doc Ock definitely need an update for the movies but he still look very similar to the comic version Sandman was perfect then they had to throw in Venom & ruin him.

I wish they would have just used the animatronic mask from the other spider-man movie it looks so much better.
