According to Jeff Sneider of
The Wrap, screenwriter Michael Green has been hired to write the
Prometheus sequel. He'll be taking over for Jack Paglen (“Transcendence”) who wrote the original draft. When will we see this film? Well, the other day Fox announced that an untitled Ridley Scott film will be released
March 4, 2016, and sources for
The Wrap have verified that the date is for
Prometheus 2. The sequel is said to be a priority as Fox is ignoring all the criticism that was placed on the original and just staring at the $400 million the R-rated film grossed worldwide. As for Green, he worked on screenplays for
Green Lantern,
The Flash (film),
Smallville, Heroes, and is still finishing the new
Blade Runner script that he began working on last year for Ridley Scott.
