Many questions arose from the first, awesome trailer for Joss Whedon's
Avengers: Age Of Ultron: who is Andy Serkis playing? Why are the heroes (literally in Thor's case) at each other's throats? When did Ultron have a chance to sit down and watch
Pinocchio? But one of the biggest talking points was the identity of the woman in blue, standing next to Chris Hemsworth's Thor just as Ultron makes his entrance during the party scene. She seemed too tall to be Natalie Portman's Jane Foster, she clearly wasn't Pepper Potts (Gwyneth Paltrow), and although there was a chance it was Thor's pal Sif (Jamie Alexander), that didn't seem likely either. Well, Newsarama have blown up the highest resolution image they could find, and it looks like we now have the identity of the actress at least...if not the character.
Although the pic is still pretty blurry, this looks very like Korean actress
Kim Soo-hyun, (billed as Claudia Kim) who was confirmed to have a role in the movie last year. Who exactly she was cast as was never revealed, but
one report at the time claimed she'd have a "substantial supporting role,” and another stated that she'd be
playing a villain. Of course that doesn't fit with her hanging about with the good guys here -- unless she was planning on betraying them that is. Newsarama's theory is that she could be playing S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Monica Chang, who was head of the AI Division set up in the
Age Of Ultron comic. It's a good guess, but do you guys have any better ones? Sound off in the usual place.
