The only reason Kirkman regrets it is because it was such a gigantic Roland/DT Gunslinger plot device rip-off imo. We'll see though. They have toned down just about everything else from the source material. Whether its showing Carl shooting a newly zombified Shane, rather than reg-human Shane, or Lori not getting shelled thru the back simultaneously exploding the lil one. They're taking a lot of short cuts. Its hard to believe that at the onset of the series Merle losing his hand wasnt a means to, in some way, justify the main character losing his own.

I'll be disappointed if they dont follow thru with such a handicapping, therefore making Rick more reliant on others.

By the way, I'm serious about Merle killing the Gov. The only way that it could be more poetic is if Andrea does it. Everyone would expect Michonne to do it but Merle or Andrea would be a far more poetic choice.

There seems to be missing something...no one has spoken about the mysterious driver of the bread van that knocked down the gates with the zombies!!!! It looked like a female in the getup and looks like she ran into the prison in the confusion...I think she will be a big plot stealer..lol

Yeah and the whole time watching last weeks ep all I thought was damn Rick has been sweating the whole time, and probably wont even shower after this

I assume people shower every once in a while so it doesn't have to be mentioned. Rick did appear showered a few episodes ago. Who cares. As far as their aim is concerned. There's a difference between shooting lumbering targets that are up close are walking towards you and ones that are shooting back at you at a distance.

Carol is supposed to go crazy and kill herself after Tyrese [frick]s Michonne and leaves her. But thanks to Darryl being in the show that won't happen. Alos Carol is supposed to be a Blonde Milf. Don't know how Kirkman screwed that one up.

Yeah he went straight out to left field with her and also Dale is supposed to have is leg cut off and eaten by cannibals, but Carl screwed that up. The show follows certain points, but most of the info is just winged at this point

I stopped reading after he lost his hand, I read a couple more arcs, but had little to no interest and just tuned out the series as a downward spiral of despair.
