Is Katee Sackhoff Researching A Role In "Daredevil" Reboot?

The "Battlestar Galactica" actress was spotted buying a lot of comics...

Bit of a strange one this, but certainly worth reporting i think..

Katee "Starbuck" Sackhoff was apparently at Los Angeles based store Golden Apple Comics buying every single comic she could get her hands on featuring "Dardevil" villain Typhoid Mary, in..

"hopes to get a part for a marvel movie."

Wishful thinking or does Miss Sackhoff know something we dont? Im going to be optimistic and lean towards the latter. I think she would make a perfect Typhoid Mary! The character Comic fans will realize right away is the longtime foe (and lover) of Marvel's Daredevil, a mutant with a multiple personality who develops various powers depending on which personality inhabits her at the time. She was created by Ann Nocenti and John Romita Jr., first appearing in their run with Daredevil #254.

There have been rumors of a reboot/sequel to the Mark Stephen Johnson floating around for some time now. Could this be the first signs of something happening? Lets hope so.

	Am I the only one that thought Daredevil was a good movie? The movie did well (if I remember it made over $1,000.000.00 and it came out in February) don't shoot me if I am wrong on the month. It was enjoyable. I didn't like that Jennifer Garner was Elektra ( I am Greek and trust me people SHE AIN'T GREEK MATERIAL!!!!!!!!!!!!)But overall I enjoyed it very much. Don't care if Kingpin was black in the movie. I am just saying as movie goes it was fun and entertaining. I know I am going to get reamed, but it's just my opinion. 	apart from some dodgy CGI, i thought daredevil was great (especially the extended cut) i hope this news means a sequel! the story wasnt bad (although i wasnt a big fan of garner or farrel) and actually liked the kingpin (cant remember the actors name). 	Well, im in love with them both so i wouldnt care either way! Like a lot of people, i too thought Daredevil was a great movie..or more accurately, a very good movie verging on greatness. 	This is a tuffy! I liked the Director's Cut of DD; it was waaaaay better than the first cut. After seeing it, I appreciated the Actors and their performances a little more. To recast would be a let down, but I'm game if they choose to go that route! I'm still now getting into the DD books, so it's still too early for me to give an opinion on this casting news. 	The reason why people didn't like Daredevil is because hardly anyone like the actor. Bullseye was cool. The story was good. Daredevil was blind and a lawyer, Electra died by her out sai,Kingpin was a badass as well as Bulleye and people were talking about Daredevil and Matt been the same. It had everything the comic has. But, people didn't like the actor. That's what killed it. I say, change the Ben Afleck and, If she's appearing, give Electra her black hair. that way everything will be fine. 	I just think that all of this talk about typhoid mary is jumping the gun a bit. Typhoid Mary as far as the movies go, was in the dumb elektra movie. As far as comics, she was kinda here and there, but never a MAJOR player. Ben Affleck did a hell of a job as Daredevil considering the other characters he has played and other movie types. I think Ben should come back and be daredevil again, and I think that the movie should be longer, and have move of the kingpin storyline, and maybe some of the other characters. 	actually when DD came out Affleck was very popular and the movie was number 1 in the country for weeks. I am a huge DD fan, I've spent mad money on getting my hands on every important DD issue that was released before I was born and as a true DD fan, enjoyed the way Afflect portrayed the character. Months later after the benifer shit started jealous lil fan boys nerds started bashing everything Affleck. 	All they need is for the cast and crew to take it seriously. It came out at a time comic movies were still seen as cheesy. This comes through with the writing, direction and performances. Afleck was a fine casting choice but he didn't pull out a performance he is capable of. It almost felt like everyone involved in the film only gave 50-60% and went into it half heartedly. Colin Farrel was the one who threw himself into it but he was awful. But then I don't like him as an actor. FX wise, you can't really knock it. Yes it looks dated now but at the time it was better than the Spiderman FX. It was an enjoyable film, not as good as it could have been but then niether was Spiderman. 	I actually liked the theatrical and extended cuts of DD.And all the Ben Affleck bashing I don't think is warranted.He did a great job IMO but last I heard he wasn't up for doing the devil again.DareDevil was the first time they actually humanized on screen the abuse a comic book hero's body takes.It's that little scene where he's chewing painkillers like candy that you realize this is what it takes to be that hero.I could go on.The cast was great but Bullseye I have to agree needed his blasted costume and the cgi wasn't the best but forgivable.And lastly the DD Soundtrack is one of the best rocking soundtracks ever!! 	The only problem I had with Daredevil was the Ben Affleck narration in the establishing-of-powers scene. I would have preferred a series of progressive-power experiences like those we saw in movies like Spider-Man and Superman to a hasty catch-up speech. Also, something about the end fight bugs me... I haven't been able to put words to what it is, though. The Director's Cut was a better movie overall but I still had the above problems with it. I liked Elektra more. Still a touch weak but a lot of fun. I enjoy watching Jennifer Garner kick butt. Such roles suit her. 	It is my understanding that Fox has to start making a DD movie next year or they loose the rights. So this will be another rush job with bad writing, bad acting and style over substance. And where does Fox think they are going to slot this movie? Thor, Cap, Spiderman 4, Avengers, Green Lantern, Batman will all deserve more love in the eyes of the public who will be skeptical of this "reboot". Look at Incredible Hulk, very good story and FX and it just did about the same as the original - which is fine for Marvel, which sold a lot of Hulk merchandise and comics - but Fox won't do well just to do repeat the performance of the first DD movie. 	@Howlett04: I totally agree. I like Statham and enjoy watching him kick ass. His action in the Transporter flics speak for itself. It's just like I said though, DD isn't an Englishman. 'House' is one of the best shows on TV. Hugh Laurie and Robert Leonard are awesome. I usually hate hospital drama's, but my lady loves the show and we have the first 3 season's on DVD. 	i only started watching House a few months back when I bought the season 1-4 boxset, then i watched season 5 on the net (as its not on in thu UK until June) TheMyth: there is, thankfully, going to be a season 5! i loved the finale, especially that last look between House and Wilson before the door closes and the episode ends - in fact, the whole last episode may have been the most clever 40mins of TV i have ever seen! 	Microsoft paint from your "microsoft office programs". It's very hard to keep a steady hand, the outcome is always crappy but you know... you end up making stuff like what we just did. It really sucks. I still don't know why i did it... i'm ashamed. And yeah, she totally looks like an old pornstar but on a lot of drawings of Elektra i've come upon in the past, i found that the character looked like that too. Which is why i concidered her because otherwise, i wouldn't even want to memorise her name. As for Patterson, well... i can see why you'd say that after watching that piece of shit film. I'd agree if it wasn't for his other performance he had done. That alone gives me the shred of hope that it was the director's fault that made every single actor suck ass in Twishyte. 	I agree that you shouldnt judge an actor based on one performance, and Shaman may be right that it wasnt so much the casts fault as the director of Twishite that every single one of them SUCKED(no pun intended). But it works both ways. If all i have seen him do is stink up the screen then why would i want to see him play a character i care about? Especially since he looks like Cables toilet brush. 	Very good point Roar! Then you must watch Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. If you hate him in it, well at least he dies at the end LOL :P But seriously, he had a small yet important role and i felt he did a great performance compared to the vomit covered turd on a stick of a performance he did in TWITlight. 	Honestly Cap, i'm with you on that. Dc are the only ones to have ever put out a comic book movie that i COULDN'T enjoy no metter how hard i tried which was Batman forever and Batman and Robin. I mean, if i'm able to enjoy films like Meteorman and The Shadow, how hard could it be to make an at least enjoyable movie of my favorite superhero of all time!!!
