Scooper "Mr. Batfan" alerted us to some earth-shattering news this morning! The Batman 3 Script is on Ebay already! With news like this we just HAD to check it out...

@GUNSMITH, you nailed it right on the head, perfect casting for those two, and since rachel and harvey are gone, depp as riddler, and gordon-levitt joker would definitely make an amazing cast for sure! i think that would be the only way to truly put it on the dark knight level, and really draw people in.. everyone clearly wants to see what happens next, especially after all the people that we're on board for the last one. gotham would be the perfect title too. it's simple, bold, and straightforward. it really fits. now, i wonder who would be the love interest? talia al ghul? it could be a love/hate relationship, as in she loves bruce but wants to kill batman for killing her father kinda thing..

So this kid thinks he is a writer and wants me to pay $12.99 for his vision a sequel. Kill me now. Does this guy actually know how hard it is to get people to even touch a script let alone read the intro when you are a nobody? First unless the owner of the franchise contracts you to write a script consider what you wrote doa.

By the way, this screenplay would FAIL anyway because of the cover alone, that's screeplay writting 101, you don't put pictures or emblems on the cover, it has to be plain white with courier text, otherwise it's trashed.

I also like how the eBay seller is selling this script to "pay bills" so apparently he can't afford a $12.99 bill? Because it's the only thing he's auctioning right now, so if he was trying to take care of some bills, I would think he would be selling a bunch more stuff. I think this dude is full of shit.

If this cat is struggling so much he should sell the camera he used to take a picture of his script.

Ok that isnt even an inventive title. And this is just me but I wish they would leave it with the Dark Knight. I dont want a Batman 3. Look at all other comic book trilogys and tell me a majority of them dont turn sour on their third outing. Dark Knight just cant be trumped why bother (even thought I KNOW WB will without a doubt make one and milk the franchise till theres nothing left, its just inevitable).

I have 4 Superman movies, 1 Justice League, half a Flash movie and half a Martian Manhunter movie floating around on my PC. I have put 1 of the Superman movies on my Fnasite "My Superman" which you should take a look at. I wish somebody in DC Entertainment would read them and take them off me for free re-write it so it is better and then bloody put it on the screen. Oh n shoot the Superman creater's entire families including children so we can get a proper movie!!!!!!!!!

Gunsmith@I dont think Gotham is a good title. I think you should leave that for a GCPD film, I think the title should just be another moniker for Bats like the Caped Crusader

I've taken a three year media course in screenwriting and although there are certain "rules" that are generally followed - the best screenwriters use there own individual style.

That said I would agree ANY screenplay containing images will be instantly shredded.
The brass pin in the middle hole isn't something that's important either way as long as the content is solid.

I completely agree with you GUNSMITH! I meen it sucks that Ledger died and he did an amazing job that cant really be replicated but i think Gordon Levitt would be a wonderful stand in as the joker, and i Depp as the Riddler, forget about it! I think it is absurd to not tell the story everyone wants to hear just becasue one of the actors died...bring on Gotham! And i love the name as well!

gunsmith is right, you can't get any more bold and simple then 'gotham' itself, it's (my opinion), that, "the dark knight returns" looks a little bit weak.. if anything it sounds like a part two of a series, and it's just, well, sounds boring AT THIS POINT, in the franchise. you have a really good point with selina kyle, and the way you described could work, but if then went full on catwoman villain, it would take away from riddler or any other MAIN villain, you know? that way, the only reason i suggested talia was to finally close off that story ark with the connection between her and her father, she'll be the perfect danger in the same sense that selina kyle/catwoman did in batman returns, only it would be fresh, someone we havent seen in the movies, and not only will it be fresh and tie the trilogy together, but she'd be a new face that would 'stand out with out getting in the other characters way' the same way rachel had never been used before the last two, she was very important but didn't take away from the other in the stor arcs with her, you know?

i think Riboflavin is nothing more than a clever reference to The Silence of the Lambs novel.
In the novel, Dr. Lecter gives the name "Billy Rubin" as a possible suspect.
Billirubin(sp?) is the pigment in hair follicles.

so i think "Riboflavin" is just a fool trying to use a clever pen name. nothing more.

I like Gunsmith's idea alot also, but I might add Burning or something along those lines. I don't want to see the Joker again yet - I realy think he should be brought back in Batman Beyond, with some older mindblowing actor like DDL playing him. The thing that "Gotham Burning". The one line that really go me from TDK is "we burned the forest down" - I think the Gotham needs to seriously "burn" in the next one. The HAWK has inspired me (really liked his fanfic) - think I'm going to do a script outline fanfic with the Riddler... but I'm gonna spend months on this.

And I'm going to start a campaign right here right now for Batman to acquire a stealth bomber for the new batwing. I still want the Tumbler too, just upgraded - a stealth bomber could be modified to hold the Tumbler in its bombay.

hmmm, an interesting way of self publishing your own work. Anyone know the legal issues involved in such an event, I mean I know it's okay to write your own fanfic, but selling it online?

I think it's hilarious the majority here are screamning "Fake!" Yeah, the guy that's auctioning it notes that, he never once said it's the official script for the third movie, it's just his interpretation on how it should be done.
