First Trailer for Disney's Prince on Persia: The Sands of Time!

2 mins. and 30 sec. of action packed goodness.
Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time is the biggest live-action Disney venture since Pirates of the Caribbean. For those of you not familiar with the story, here is a brief synopsis:

Dastan (Jake Gyllenhaal) is a street urchin in 6th century Persia. After showing valor in battle, he is adopted by the king as his heir, so the king's two sons will not fight over the throne. He teams up with Princess Tamina (Gemma Arterton) to rescue the Sands of Time, a gift from the gods that controls time, from the hands of the villainous nobleman, Nizam (Ben Kingsley).

Its probably going to be the next Pirates of the Caribbean.

but jake gyllenhaal HAS A LOT of redeeming to do from broke back mountain.

to bad he can't trun back the sands of time on that screwed up movie.

im gonna be the downer then...looked a bit over stylized and why is everyone using a British accent?? and the bit where he's time travelling or whatever looked terrible..his face was obviously CGi :O

Im sure it will be great tho :P

I think it lookslike a decent film and obviously a decent budget to go along with it.

@Tyler- If you compare this movie to ANY video game adaptaions, it's bound to be the best film of the decade! The only video game adaptataion that I would even call watchable was the first Mortal Kombat...not saying much.

Well, the game was sort of over-stylized to begin with teabag, so the movie is keeping even closer to the game by using the stylized look.

Tyler@ yeah but theres a point between just right and over doing it...like the Cgi Gyllenininhall bit at the begining...was it worth it just to make him look so fake?? :P

I can't really say for sure because the vid. player is small and the quality isn't very good. But I think the look of the film is great, just what I imagine a movie based off the game would look like.

How can you tell story from that? The story for the game was great so I expect this will be equally entertaining.

This looks very good and I would actually pay to see this , it even gets me more amped up to see what Disney is going to do with Marvel characters in their future endeavors !!!! :)

argeed. Ledger did a AWESOME job as the Joker (and his death was tragic) but he still carried the stigma of that movie behind him, like the way the smell of a bad fart just follows someone around, or the smell of burnt latex, lol.
