Well, if a recent interview by Ain't It Cool News is anything to go by, Thor could very well be in the works. A month ago we reported that a Thor script was delivered to Marvel Studios by Mark Protosevich, and it looks as if Marvel might be close to getting a director on board.
Matthew Vaugh was interviewed by Ain't It Cool News, and though the likelihood that the Writers Guild of America, Directors Guild of America, and Screen Actors Guild will strike due to a breakdown in negotiations for new contracts might put a hold on a movie, there is still a hope.
Quoted from the interview;
I've been discussing it with Marvel. I really like the Marvel guys, and it would be good to make. We're trying to find something to work on together. If THOR is going to happen, I don't know. I'm seeing them again next week. And, the other problem is the whole strike thing. It's, like, we'd like to make a movie before the strike, so whether THOR could be the one, I don't know.
In the next weeks we here at ComicBookMovie will also try to keep you updated on the negotiations, and what impact they will have on future developments.
