Watchmen Director's Cut Leaked Online 3 Weeks Early!

Hang onto your butts! Here we go again. The director's cut of DC Comics' Watchmen has been leaked on the internet three weeks before it is due to premiere at the 2009 San Diego Comic-Con.
Watchmen: The Director's Cut, scheduled to premiere at San Diego Comic-Con with select screenings across America the week before, can already be downloaded as a torrent, Bleeding Cool reports.

Director Zack Snyder's extended cut is 25 minutes longer, making the film just over three hours long, and reportedly features the death of a supporting cast member that wasn't shown in the original movie.

The director's cut and original theatrical version will be available on DVD and Blu-ray from July 21.

grif - 7/6/2009, 3:00 PM
yeah - i downloaded and watched a dvd rip of the theatrical cut over the weekend but the sound was kinda f'd up. i'm just gonna buy the director's cut when it comes out anyways. I want some quality - I need it. Especially considering how awesome this flick is.
Keven - 7/6/2009, 3:05 PM
This movie makes me want to go out and buy a Blu-ray DVD player and a High Def TV. Damn you high definition, I'm to cheap to pay for your high quality goodness.

Oh! F' downloading this movie. If you have down loaded this movie you are a "cut turd".

joshw24 - 7/6/2009, 3:30 PM
i'm no CUT TURD. lol.

i watched this in theaters opening night Sirprize. So I don't feel bad about downloading a screener AFTER I'd already seen it.

That and I'm waiting to see the director's cut after i buy it. So really - I'd be a floppy cut turd if I'd just downloaded it and not seen it in theaters though.

Floppy - gigantic, steaming, protruding CUT TURD.

God I hate the word turd...

Wow Kev, looks like you are getting over your scared-ness of bodily function talk. Nice. And I do agree with you Keven, already paid obnoxouis price in theatre, then one crappy download should be freebie.

theyre talkin about rorschach's death, the directors cut is awfully long and boring.
realblood33 - 7/6/2009, 4:55 PM
I saw Rorschach's death on my bootleg movie. When it first came out
bodykount80 - 7/6/2009, 5:34 PM
watchmen...any version,..will always kick ass...snyder should have done LXG..that would be sick
Anil Rickly - 7/6/2009, 5:57 PM
Watched the director's cut the other night and it does have all the scenes detailed in previous post 'Full List Of "Watchmen Directors Cut" Additions'. It is much better than theatrical release. I found having read the book, watching the movie and the motion comic DVD the new cut was seemless. It never felt longer, it was if you were watching the movie a second time and that you were simply recollecting more details about the film.
Can't wait to buy it on Blu-Ray![I suppose I should buy a machine first].
scottbuster2000 - 7/6/2009, 6:31 PM
Keven is growing up. LOL

What a lil turd. =P

I hate you Leee. I hope your Blu-ray peter's out on you.
SirPrize - 7/6/2009, 6:33 PM
Seeing that just reminded me how [frick]ing cool this movie was, defitenly getting the director's cut.
Bandrews1 - 7/6/2009, 8:50 PM
@ LEEE777: Don't be too harsh on Supermike. Maybe he can't help it...

kidz3r0 - 7/6/2009, 11:20 PM
I watched the director's Cut last night. Personally I thought it was very good and can't wait for the dvd to be released properly so I can get it. The Hollis death scene was really well done, the flashes of his past showing he was still a hero deep down
Slifer151 - 7/7/2009, 3:19 AM
O_O What the hey LEEE777. There is something seriously wrong with that kid. That's deeply disturbing.
In other news: I can't wait for the directors cut, or rather, I CAN wait and I plan to see it in the weekend theatrical release. And then I may or may not be buying it. I know I'll buy the extended version though.
Phoenix9109 - 7/7/2009, 10:03 AM
