We've seen Famke Janssen play Jean Grey in
X-Men,
X-Men 2,
X-Men: Last Stand, and more. With that said, many ask what can the
Game of Thrones star Sophie Turner bring to the table that will differ from the character's previous portrayal. In a recent interview with
Entertainment Weekly, Turner revealed one of the main differences.
"The difference between this and Famke’s Jean Grey is she’s young and isolated and so insecure and very alienated – even from the other mutants – because she’s so powerful."
Later in the interview, she revealed that it was through that alienation, that she and Scott were able to find each other in the film.
"So there’s a real vulnerability to her and it’s great to see how her and Scott find each other through that alienation. She’s a great role to play, she’s so much fun, and her arc in the movie is amazing." Scott will be played by Tye Sheridan in the upcoming film, who says his chararter is kind of damaged because of his past.
Turner, in a previous interview with
Digital Spy last month, revealed that Scott and Jean will have great chemistry in the upcoming film, despite the fact that Scott is a douchebag.
"It's really interesting to see the young douchebag Scott, and the young, shy Jean, and watching them fall out and make up and this weird chemistry they have."

Since the dawn of civilization, he was worshiped as a god. Apocalypse, the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel’s X-Men universe, amassed the powers of many other mutants, becoming immortal and invincible. Upon awakening after thousands of years, he is disillusioned with the world as he finds it and recruits a team of powerful mutants, including a disheartened Magneto (Michael Fassbender), to cleanse mankind and create a new world order, over which he will reign. As the fate of the Earth hangs in the balance, Raven (Jennifer Lawrence) with the help of Professor X (James McAvoy) must lead a team of young X-Men to stop their greatest nemesis and save mankind from complete destruction.
As well as returning cast members Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, and Nicholas Hoult, X-Men: Apocalypse will also introduce Alexandra Shipp, Sophie Turner, Tye Sheridan, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Lana Condor, Oscar Isaac, Ben Hardy, Olivia Munn, and a number of others. The movie is set to be released on May 27th, 2016.
