Universal Reveals Release Date & Special Features For JASON BOURNE Blu-ray; Plus A New BTS Featurette

Universal Pictures Home Entertainment has detailed the upcoming Blu-ray release of their hit action sequel Jason Bourne, which stars Academy Award-winner Matt Damon in the lead.

After nearly a decade, Jason Bourne returned with a bang this past summer, and reminded the world why he's not one to be trifled with.

The returning star/director duo of Matt Damon & Paul Greengrass unsurprisingly brought the fans out in droves and rocketed the film to a worldwide haul of over $399.2 million ($161.7 million domestic, $237.4 million foreign), which was more than enough to secure its spot as the second-highest earner in the series, after The Bourne Ultimatum, and will likely have Universal execs thinking sequel much sooner than later. The film's hit performance as well as renewed interest in the franchise could also bode well for that long-rumored Jeremy Renner-led Bourne Legacy sequel some have been hoping for.

Earlier this afternoon, Universal Pictures Home Entertainment debuted an announcement trailer for the upcoming home video release revealing that the fifth installment in the Bourne franchise will arrive on Digital HD November 15 and then on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, DVD, and On Demand on December 6, just in time for Christmas.
