Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness promises to be a game-changer, not just for the title character, but the entire MCU. Heck, if even half the rumours and theories are true, Sam Raimi's sequel will also have an impact on countless characters and movies from the past!

The first teaser trailer made it clear that America Chavez will be pivotal to how this story unfolds, and like her comic book counterpart, it's thought she'll have the power to punch through reality. This gives Marvel Studios the perfect opportunity to take the former Sorcerer Supreme on a journey to new and old worlds alike while introducing lots of Variants.

Some more promo art for the Doctor Strange sequel has been revealed today and, as you can see, America looks ready to smash a hole straight through the Multiverse. This is a new shot of the character, though you'll probably recognise the poses struck by the rest of the movie's leads.

More is bound to be shared over the coming weeks, and it was only a few days ago that an Avengers logo was revealed seemingly confirming that we'll meet an alternate reality version of the team.

The movie stars Benedict Cumberbatch, Elizabeth Olsen, Benedict Wong, Rachel McAdams, Chiwetel Ejiofor and Xochitl Gomez. Marvel Studios describes Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness as "a thrilling ride through the Multiverse with Doctor Strange, his trusted friend Wong and Wanda Maximoff, aka Scarlet Witch."

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is set to be released on May 6.

I guess Wanda started off without a costume, might as well let America work her way up to one

@TheWalkingCuban - That's pretty much what America wears in the comics, but she did sport more traditional superhero costumes in some appearances

@TheWalkingCuban - I'm just getting concerned they're gonna dodge the fallout of wandavision with her. Even the trailer seemed to imply they were brushing it aside.

She looks weird in the photo.

@comicfan100 - it could.

I like the image you posted, she looks powerful. In the MM she's still a kiddo.

@marvel72 - kill bill got it wrong. Forget Superman, America is the one dressing like us to look down on us.

That top image looks so unnatural… who throws a punch like that with their opposite leg up? The bottom image is better IMO

I've honestly never read one of her comics. But her power set never made much sense to me. Punch a while to another reality? For what purpose?

@Oberlin4Prez - her powers are kind of goofy. And I “it’s comics” but still for some reason it just makes no sense.

@BlackBeltJones - I mean, I get within the context of this movie why that kind of power set would come in handy. But like, is she just pushing people she fights into other realities or something?

@Oberlin4Prez - I would guess this is the case. Hoping and trusting Raimi to handle it well

@Oberlin4Prez - well in the comics, she had superhuman strength, speed and she can fly but I fear the movie will prob just focus on her power of opening multidimensional portal.
