Earlier today, disgraced director Joss Whedon gave his first interview since being accused of a variety of offenses, and Justice League star Ray Fisher has now responded to his controversial comments.

Following a long list of accusations of abusive and unprofessional behaviour levelled at him from several actors and writers he'd worked with on the likes of Justice League, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and Firefly, director Joss Whedon finally responded to allegations made against him during an interview with NY Magazine.

Cyborg actor Ray Fisher was the one to open the floodgates after retracting the praise he'd previously given Whedon at SDCC in 2020, Tweeting out: "[Whedon's] on-set treatment of the cast and crew of Justice League was gross, abusive, unprofessional, and completely unacceptable."

According to Whedon, none of Fisher's claims were "either true or merited discussing." He also said that he reduced Cyborg's role in the movie because it "logically made no sense," and that Fisher wasn't a strong enough actor. "We’re talking about a malevolent force. We’re talking about a bad actor in both senses."

Now, Fisher has Tweeted out his response to the filmmaker's "lies and buffoonery."

We have no idea what Whedon hoped to gain from this interview, but it only succeeded in making him look even worse, and we doubt Fisher will be the only one to respond to his comments.

Aw man here we go 🤦🏿‍♂️ Zack did jump through loops to have cyborg at the center of the movie. A lot of what was in the Snyder cut could’ve been well… cut.

No one cares about the work. No one cares about what whedon said… at least I wish people didn’t these threads about to be 10 pages

@MyCoolYoung - They removed 80% of Cyborgs scenes, he went from being the main character, to the movie's token.

MyCoolYoung - 1/17/2022, 5:07 PM
@TheHumanSpider2 - he was not the movies token and him being the main person in that movie was forced. It made the movie overly long and wb wanted whedon cut to be under 2 hours. How do you propose you do that without removing most of his scenes?

Look I’m not even a whedon fan. Only thing I’ve ever watched of his were the avengers movies all that other stuff is too far north of nerdom for me but I agree with him when he said Ray, as evidenced by the Snyder cut, isn’t a good actor. Some of that stuff was downright laughable

With that said, what does him cutting Ray’s scenes have anything to do with no one in this thread defending whedon?

@MyCoolYoung - What was Cyborg's contribution to the plot in the Whedon Cut? the fist bump? BOOYAH?

"Ray, as evidenced by the Snyder cut, isn’t a good actor"

You didnt see the Snyder Cut, did you?
MyCoolYoung
MyCoolYoung - 1/17/2022, 5:19 PM
@TheHumanSpider2 - I saw the whole thing. Go watch his scene with his mom when he starts crying and tell me that wasn’t really bad acting. Please do that.

By saying what you just said you’re ignoring the question. How do you condense a movie 3 hours without cutting out Ray’s unnecessary plots? Both movies took different routes to get to the same place. Cyborgs father sacrificed in one and the justice league, mainly cyborg, figured out where steppenwolf was in the other.

His contribution to the plot was be a part of the justice league. He also shut down the portal in the end. He’s literally Tech. I don’t know how you get token from being tech. Cyborg is the “magical negro” stereotype in both movies if we’re keeping it a buck
