WANDAVISION Named Best-Reviewed TV Series And Limited Series In Rotten Tomatoes' Golden Tomato Awards WANDAVISION Named Best-Reviewed TV Series And Limited Series In Rotten Tomatoes' Golden Tomato Awards

WandaVision earned widespread acclaim from critics last year, and it's now received a couple of noteworthy awards in Rotten Tomatoes' Golden Tomato Awards. There was also good news for Amazon's Invincible.

Thanks to the pandemic, WandaVision ended up being Marvel Studios' first Disney+ TV series and it remains the most critically acclaimed. The show has received nominations at major award ceremonies like the Emmys, Golden Globes, and Grammys (even winning some prizes), and Rotten Tomatoes has now named it the "Best Reviewed TV Series" of 2021 in its Golden Tomato Awards.

WandaVision managed to beat shows like Mare of Easttown, Loki, Ted Lasso, and Succession for that award, while it was also presented with the "Best Reviewed Limited Series" gong.

In that category, the Marvel Studios TV series ended up beating The Underground Railway, Hawkeye, It's a Sin, Maid, What If...?, and several other noteworthy shows. It's quite an achievement, especially as COVID-19 ended up halting production (which definitely had an impact on the finale).

Meanwhile, Invincible was named "Best-Reviewed Animated TV Series," a sentiment we're sure many of you will agree with after that stellar first season of the Amazon TV show.

These awards are obviously based on reviews submitted to Rotten Tomatoes by critics, and they provide an interesting insight into what the majority of them enjoyed most in 2021. You can take a look back through our reviews on the aggregator by checking out ComicBookMovie.com's profile here

Wandavision getting this is such an insult to all the amazing television shows we've had this year.

@RandyOrtonLF - i liked some some shows better last year but it's not an insult. Wandavision was still a great show

In all honesty, WandaVision was kind of a let down. It started out very strong, but fizzled out towards the end. But one thing is for sure, Elizabeth Olsen's performance on that show alone is among the best, if not the best in all the MCU. She was phenomenal there. I don't mean it in the overexaggerated "I Stan Lizzy" way. I mean it genuinely. I didn't see much of her work outside of that character, but I was totally impressed.

@DarthOmega - I loved Vision, he was hilarious! The two combined made for great tv but to me Disney plus has not topped those first two episodes. Dude Wandavision in black and white is a show I would watch. But man ol boy had fantastic comedic timing and over the top mannerisms.

His name slips my-Paul bettany? I knew I’d get it before hitting post reply

@DarthOmega - she’s probably the best actor in the MCU too. Dead serious. I love where she is at as a character, and my enjoyment of phase 4 really hinges on whether they abuse her arc in Doc2 and simply make her a villain essentially making the ending of Wandavision pointless

Golden apple? Did not know but I guess you have to balance all the rotten ones out somehow

Wandavision was definitely the best MCU TV project this year for me, but it's not the Best series of the year.

And Invincible winning is baffling after Arcane redefined what a cartoon can be.

Love the Marvel stuff but for me personally the best limited Series this year was Midnight Mass

Also a shout-out to my boy Sheriff Hassan, who saw the Vampire and acted like how I would

Really wish I could handle Ghost based Horror shows as I'd love to watch House On Haunted Hill & Bly Manor but just too scary for me 😢

You have to watch Haunting of Hill House. Bly Manor you could probably do without.

Hill House is legendary.

Definitely the best series so far, most have just been fine. I was expecting more from the long format, idk maybe I'm getting old. I've been here since before the beginning, maybe Marvel movies are played out. Maybe they jumped the shark. Idk, NWH slightly restored my faith lol
