Not only is Wreck-it Ralph going to break the internet later this year, he's also going to break comic book shops with a new graphic novel from Dark Horse Comics. Announced ahead of San Diego Comic-Con, Dark Horse has unveiled Disney Ralph Breaks the Internet—Click Start: Choose Your Own Internet Adventure. As the title suggests, this will be a choose-your-own-adventure style graphic novel that will take you across the world wide web as you guide Ralph and Vanellope through the internet.

Written by Joe Caramagna and Amy Mebberson with art by Emilio Urbano, Andrea Greppi, and Amy Mebberson, Disney Ralph Breaks the Internet—Click Start: Choose Your Own Internet Adventure offers two stories continuing the adventure of Ralph and Vanellope, set both before and after the events of the upcoming film.

The main feature is a prequel story which puts you in control of Ralph and Vanellope's journey through the internet, which sounds a bit odd considering it seems they are first discovering the internet in the movie - so it'll be interesting to see how that's handled.

There's also an eight-page sequel to the movie in which Vanellope explores OhMyDisney.com, the official blog of The Walt Disney Company that offers news, interactive articles, quizzes and more. As we learned in the most recent trailer for Ralph Breaks the Internet, it's also home to Disney's princesses.

Disney Ralph Breaks the Internet—Click Start: Choose Your Own Internet Adventure hits store shelves on December 12, 2018, shortly after the movie Ralph Breaks the Internet opens in theaters on November 21, 2019. Available for pre-order already, the prequel novel retails for $10.99

I liked the first movie quite a bit, but unfortunately this sequel looks like an awful product placement extravaganza on the level of Emoji Movie.
