"Power born from rage."

Following star Dwayne Johnson's tease, Warner Bros. has officially confirmed that the new trailer for Black Adam will be released online tomorrow, and we have a brand-new poster to accompany the announcement.

The one-sheet features Teth Adam and members of the Justice Society, Hawkman (Aldis Hodge), Atom Smasher (Noah Centineo), Cyclone (Quintessa Swindell), and Doctor Fate (Pierce Brosnan).

There's doesn't seem to be that much anticipation for Black Adam, but we have heard good things from test-screenings. Maybe this new trailer will succeed in getting a few more fans on board? Be sure to check back tomorrow to find out.

"From New Line Cinema, Dwayne Johnson stars in the action adventure Black Adam. The first-ever feature film to explore the story of the DC Super Hero comes to the big screen under the direction of Jaume Collet-Serra (“Jungle Cruise”). Nearly 5,000 years after he was bestowed with the almighty powers of the ancient gods— and imprisoned just as quickly—Black Adam (Johnson) is freed from his earthly tomb, ready to unleash his unique form of justice on the modern world."

Johnson stars alongside Aldis Hodge (City on a Hill, One Night in Miami) as Hawkman, Noah Centineo (To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before) as Atom Smasher, Sarah Shahi (Sex/Life, Rush Hour 3) as Adrianna, Marwan Kenzari (Murder on the Orient Express, The Mummy) as Ishmael, Quintessa Swindell (Voyagers, Trinkets) as Cyclone, Bodhi Sabongui (A Million Little Things) as Amon, and Pierce Brosnan (the Mamma Mia! and James Bond franchises) as Dr. Fate.

Black Adam will be released nationwide on 21st October 2022 by Warner Bros. Pictures.

They must be in a competition with Sony for worst movie posters.

Hoping for the best but I am not sure it's going to be good. I wish it was going to HBO Max opening day.

I kinda like it.

Also is it just me or have they made his ears look pointy in that poster?

Is Aldis Hodge the only actor in this movie not self centered enough to want his helmet off on the poster?

I’d argue that he’s a bigger actor than the people playing Atom Smasher and Cyclone so it seems like an odd choice.

There is zero hype for this film. It looks awful and like a vanity project for the rock.

Even theaters have zero faith in this film because they're all saying they are waiting for black panther 2 to save them😳

@AmazingFILMporg - yes but Black Panther 2 is gonna suck too. Just like the first one was overrated as hell, only this time no Chadwick Boseman? Rough.

Floating upper bodies with a massive floating head in the background are my favorite type of movie posters, especially if they yellow/blue divide as well

@UniqNo - I thought in the comics he did have one wing coming out of the center of his back and the other attached to his shoulder.

Breaking news: Zaslav has decided to cancel this film's theatrical release and instead it will go straight to flipbooks available for $4.99 in the $5 and under cheap stuff section a the front of most local Walmarts. Quantities will be limited, however, so it's best to call ahead. Oh, and the accompanying cardboard cut-out of "The Rock w/ Floating Heads" may be available for sale if you know a guy on the inside. That's all I can share right now and I've probably said too much as it is.

I don't know if I'm underestimating the box office draw of The Rock, but I don't see this doing great numbers. I love the guy in the Fast and Furious movies and that string of action comedies he did in the mid/late-2000s, but he's not the kind of guy you cast as a superhero these days (maybe in 2004). He's just too larger than life.

When you watch a Rock movie, he is not Sgt. Hobbs or Chris Vaughn (try to tell me what movie Chris Vaughn is from without looking it up). He is Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. Dom Toretto didn't fight with Hobbs. He fought with The Rock. And when you talk about those movies, you talk about "The Rock", not whichever character he is playing. I'm not saying he doesn't give decent performances, but his celebrity supersedes any role that he could be playing, to the point where it doesn't matter.

For a character like Black Adam, you need someone relatively unknown, or maybe a B-list celebrity at best. You need a chance for the character to shine through the actor, if you have any hopes of resonating with people (especially comic book fans). ESPECIALLY if it's that character's cinematic debut. You might be able to get away with it if there are already 3 or 4 other prominent cinematic versions of the character.

I like The Rock, and I'm glad he's at least been passionate about bringing Black Adam to the silver screen, but it reminds me a lot of when Channing Tatum tried to make Gambit happen. I respect the drive, but that doesn't make you right for the part.

Anyway, I truly hope it's good, but it will be nearly impossible not to think I'm just watching Super Rock: The Movie.

I'm calling it. The trailer will show more of the same that we've seen before but with a slight difference. So it won't really have much new stuff going on.
