On Saturday night, Marvel Studios ended its phenomenal Hall H panel at Comic-Con by sharing the first trailer for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. The emotional sneak peek confirmed that the late Chadwick Boseman's T'Challa has died in the MCU, leaving the women in his life to pick up the pieces and battle on in the midst of an attack from Namor the Sub-Mariner.

Now, a new poster for the Black Panther sequel has been revealed after being handed out to fans in San Diego. Illustrated by Marvel Studios Head of Visual Development Ryan Meinerding, it shows Nakia, Shuri, and Queen Ramonda striking the classic "Wakanda Forever" pose as T'Challa's shadow looms large in the background.

This is not the only way the actor was honoured, as Lupita N'yongo revealed at the event that, "our call sheets didn’t have a #1 [on Black Panther: Wakanda Forever's set]. That was reserved for Chadwick. He was with us."

While fans were uncertain whether the Black Panther franchise should continue without Boseman and T'Challa, the movie looks like it has all the makings of a "film of the year" candidate. There's still no word on who the new Panther will be, with a glimpse in the trailer leading to theories that point to everyone from Shuri to M'Baku and even a resurrected Erik Killmonger.

In Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Queen Ramonda (Angela Bassett), Shuri (Letitia Wright), M’Baku (Winston Duke), Okoye (Danai Gurira) and the Dora Milaje (including Florence Kasumba), fight to protect their nation from intervening world powers in the wake of King T’Challa’s death.

As the Wakandans strive to embrace their next chapter, the heroes must band together with the help of War Dog Nakia (Lupita Nyong’o) and Everett Ross (Martin Freeman) and forge a new path for the kingdom of Wakanda. Introducing Tenoch Huerta as Namor, king of a hidden undersea nation, the film also stars Dominique Thorne, Michaela Coel, Mabel Cadena and Alex Livanalli.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever arrives in theaters on November 11, later this year.

Nice poster. Sadly it’s missing Okoye.

And you can pretty much be sure they never show that poster in China….while they continually cater to China.

@TyrantBossMedia - How have they been catering to China?

@TyrantBossMedia - they stopped catering to China a while ago. China doesn’t show Disney movies any more.

@Alfonslefou21 - I hope so. I'd rather her take up the mantle since I don't have the choice of them recasting T'Challa....though they should have

@TheSuperMex - Not quite. Disney movies are not being shown in China despite Disney's desires for them to be shown there.

Disney's self-named "gay agenda" is more important to them so they will fill their movies with their identify politics. They would love China to show their movies.

That is why in the past they edited movie posters to keep Chadwick Boseman's face covered for Black Panther, and reduced the size of Finn in The Force Awakens because China is incredibly racist.
Not like the racist people claim the United States is. China is REALLY racist and don't like Black people OR Gays.

That trailer really hit me. I almost never react emotionally to movies and stuff, but that trailer was just beautiful.

@ClungesForever - I just had to look up clunge because I'm old.... What's your deal? You hate women? Honestly asking. I'm confused why someone would associate themselves with this word

@ProfessorWhy - LMAOOOOO that's a hilarious hot take!

Clunge is slang for vagina in the UK and in no way does it translate to me hating women 🙄.

I am in no way serious and enjoy poking fun at myself. When I was over at IGN my name was Senor Twats (basically calling myself a twat, Mr twats in fact) over here I called myself Monsieur Clunge which is basically the same thing. Now I change my name & gif to whichever next Marvel or DC film is coming out.

Thank you for asking by the way

@ClungesForever - meant no offense. The definition I came across was a negative connotation for women like the other C word. Thank you

@ProfessorWhy - oh none taken, I actually mean thank you for asking 🤣. A lot of people just straight up attack people on the internet but you actually asked the question (which I'm always willing to answer) and I appreciate that.

I might be mistaken, but I'm guessing that's actually the new (female) Black Panther. The details on cowl/helmet/mask look different from the one T'Challa wore.

@tylerzero - it was Shuri. A close-up of her arms reveals a design that pays homage to her panther head gauntlets/guns from previous movies.

Glad it seems Bassett will get more to do in this one. Shame we never got her as Storm.
