As acknowledged last week by the pilot's director and co-writer Joss Whedon, filming will kickoff this Tuesday for ABC's prospective TV series based on Marvel's S.H.I.E.L.D.. And while the titular espionage defense organization has been established cinematically with Acura as its official vehicle, an upgrade has seemingly been arranged for the small-screen. Los Angeles natives, @MikeErmalovich and @DiabloRobotico, took to Twitter to snap photos of multiple S.H.I.E.L.D. logo-engraved Hummer H3Ts as they were being hauled in preparation for the shoot. Although we shouldn't classify these photos as set pictures, they are the next best thing; at least until filming starts this week. Anyhow, Marvel's
S.H.I.E.L.D. stars Clark Gregg (Agent Coulson), Ming-Na (Agent May), Brett Dalton (Agent Ward), Chloe Bennet-Wang (Agent Skye), with Elizabeth Henstridge (Agent Simmons) and Ian De Caestecker (Agent Fitz). And scripted by Joss Whedon, Jed Whedon and Maurissa Tancharoen, the pilot is expected to premiere on ABC's Fall line-up this year.
