@jerryblake

That's very true! But you sure it will be attached to a Warner Bros. film I'd rather see a VoiceOver teaser for the upcoming Batman vs. Superman movie! Would be pretty neat to have Affleck read the dialogue that was read at comic con this year, you know...the "I want you to remember the one man that beat you." line.

I hope that Box set can fit on my movie rack! lol I've got all the x-Men films on blu-ray so far.

they won't go with Thor 2 ... Catching Fire (November 22), Hobbit 2 (December 13) or Robocop (February 7). Although Robocop seems to be kinda late ...

Will one include a missing ninja fight? Seriously, anyone know? The film was fine but having Wolverine run from them was crap n a missed opportunity.

So, only the 3D set version will have the unrated version? Wha?
A2ron

Hopefully they have commentary for the regular Blu-Ray edition. Before I had to convert some of my DVDs to Blu-Ray just to be able to see more features, However I am NOT waisting money on 3D.

Mangold confirmed the extended R-rated cut would indeed extend the ninja fight.

I wanna see some 'Dredd' style gore:

Convincing, circumstantially appropriate, and not gratuitous.

Where's the Unrated version? I see Extended cut, Alternate Ending, Theatrical Version, nothing detailed Unrated as publicized in your article.

The Unleashed Extended Cut is both the extended cut and the R-rated one.

Dang sounds like you guys will be fighting over copies of that rated R version like these guys fighting over the last GTA 5 in Wolly World.

I haven't seen it yet so I'm excited for this to be released, but extended cut only with 3D bluray? That definitely means I'm holding off until I can see both versions (or at least read differences and reviews) and see if it's worth the extra money to waste on a 3D version I will NEVER use.

Im I reading this right?
The only way to get the extended unrated version is the buy the set that comes with the movie in 3D?

That cant be right....can it?
TopCat89
TopCat89 - 10/1/2013, 10:59 AM
I read somewhere that it's only 10-12 minutes extra.....an extended ninja fight scene (and that's it)........i could be wrong and the rumour false ( i hope so)......i'm hoping for a few more extra scenes and more bloodier (realistic) fights throughout.

I mean Daredevil Director's Cut got close to an extra 30mins

The Wolverine alone was pretty damn good though, surprised me!

I couldn't care less about 3D, personally, so maybe I'm biased, but it's telling that the extended version doesn't come in 3D. I mean who can really be bothered with 3D when it isn't about putting asses in theater seats? It's like the most blatantly obvious ticket bait since... Well, since 3D.

Can't wait for this. I really enjoyed the movie, and I'm launching - all Wolverine like - at the unleashed unrated box come december.

^^^It's great!! 8/10 for me! :D
Gamera623
Gamera623 - 10/1/2013, 11:21 AM
Ok yeah I just checked a few other websites to confirm.

The Unleashed Extended edition is only available in the set that comes with the 3D Blu-ray.
If you just get the Blu-ray its the theatrical version only.

And the set that comes with 3D actually has a regular blu-ray version of the extended in it. So it exists in regular blu-ray format...just not sold without the 3D disk.

Im calling BS. I will wait till there's a blu ray release of the extended cut without 3D.
If it never comes out....oh well.

jerryblake - 10/1/2013, 11:24 AM
good movie ... kinda slow at times ... but still good. The ending was kinda ... messy ? (too many fights at one time)

Fukoshima rocked. Jackman's best portrayal of Wolverine since X1.
