RUMOR: New Details On The Villains In The Avengers

We have heard the rumors, but no definite answers as to who our heroes will be facing when Marvel's The Avengers hits theaters. Now we have some new info from a reliable source. Nothing certain, but big SPOILER WARNING just in case..

The Skrulls? The Kree? Thanos? Lots of rumors and info from sites claiming to know without question who the mysterious threat facing The Avengers will be. Well we have another rumor to add now, but this comes from very reliable source that has been privy to some early story boards from the movie. Keep in mind that things might have changed since and not to take this as Gospel for now, but even so do not read on if you want to remain completely surprised just in case.

Ok, so I am told that in early drafts of the script Loki was to bring his army to Earth via The Negative Zone. But as this was happening, other creatures from the Negative Zone also followed him through. Said creatures were not named but my source thinks they may have been Skrulls and that..wait for it..Annihilus was also involved. Now this character is generally thought of as a Fantastic Four villain but as Marvel fans will know he also tussled with The Avengers on a few occasions.

There are a few more details but I'll leave it at that for now. Keep in mind that although I trust my source completely this could well have been altered since. What do you guys think? Confirm or debunk in the usual place below.

@Intruder Yeah, not sure either, but who knows... I just hope people scale their expectations down a bit else wise they'll be disappointed... lol... but who knows we didn't think that, Loki, Destroyer, and Frost Giants, and a cameo of the Infinity Gauntlet could be put into one film yet it was... we didn't think that Zola, Red Skull, Hydra, and Cosmic Cube, or a cameo of the original Human Touch could be put into Captain America yet it all was too... so as I said before who knows... :)

i don't know what to think,annihilus with his annihilation wave would be f*ckin awesome,a great way to introduce other cosmic characters i.e nova & the guardians of the galaxy.

marvel just put us out of our misery & let us know who the villains are.

as much as i would love for it to be annihilus i don't think its possible isn't annihulus technically a fantastic 4 villain along with the skrulls and kree so isn't it kinda hard for them to put him in the movie without fox approving?

@Intruder- Dude, I got chills watching that.
I honestly don't think Hollywood is capable of creating a motion picture spectacle that can truly capture the incredible drama played out in 'Annihilation'- it's just too epic!

Another thing: In my mind I never imagined 'World mind' to sound like that. I imagined him to sound more like a refined British gentlemen , ya know?

Annihilus? The Negative Zone? Wow, I never saw that coming. I'm curious to see how that would be pulled off. Maybe a "Civil War" adaptation is being planned.
