JUSTICE LEAGUE Star Ray Fisher Disowns Joss Whedon's Theatrical Version

Cyborg star Ray Fisher has issued a statement to "forcefully retract" his prior support for Joss Whedon's theatrical version of Justice League (2017)

With the release of Zack Snyder's mythical Snyder Cut of Justice League (2017) now a reality thanks to HBO Max, looks like it is time for recriminations as to what happened and how the cast actually felt about all of the changes that were made to the film to get it to the theater.

The cast including stars Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Ben Affleck and Ezra Miller - during the extensive press tour to promote the theatrical version - had gamely expressed solidarity with Joss Whedon and the version he had delivered. Fisher had said at that time (in the video below), "Joss is a great guy and Zack picked a good person to come in and clean up, finished up for him." But reports persisted that about 90% of footage shot by Snyder was re-worked and did not make the final film.

Now with the certainty of seeing Fisher's rumored-to-be extensive role in the Snyder Cut, it seems Fisher is finally comfortable coming forward and expressing his true feelings. It remains to be seen whether this statement will make any other cast members open up about their stance on the theatrical cut. The original cast has been very cagy on the changes that were made and did about as good a job they could do to promote the original version.

What led Fisher to make this statement? We shall all be able to see for ourselves when the Snyder Cut finally lands on HBO MAX and we are all able to compare and contrast and see the whole truth for ourselves.

Look, I hate Joss’ JL just like everyone else, but this is incredibly childish of him. He of all people should know it’s not Whedon’s fault for the failure. Joss had like, 7 months to shoot, edit, and do VFX for the film. For reference, that’s roughly the amount of time it took for them to just FILM Infinity War.

It’s a miracle JL (2017) is even coherent. Besides, he should know this is only gonna fuel the Snyder cultists

@DaHyro - He himself is a Snyder cultist right? Until April he said he had never seen the Snyder cut. Now we know he could not have seen it because it does not exist and is being made now by spending 30 million dollars.

So he fueled the cult all that time.

@DaHyro - Its not even Joss's cut, he had way too many restrictions to kill or save it. If the Snyder cut is good (I doubt it) then WB is the reason for their cut failing.
