Shazam! Fury of the Gods is set to hit theaters very soon, and star Zachary Levi is the latest actor to come under fire for sharing "anti-vax" rhetoric on social media...

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever star Letitia Wright and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumnia's Evangeline Lilly came under fire for espousing anti-vax views last year, and Zachary Levi clearly felt the DCU could use some of that attention!

Levi, who will return as the titular hero in Shazam! Fury of the Gods this March, responded to Tweet from conspiracy theorist (a term he self-applies) Lyndon Wood, who asked his followers if they agreed that "Pfizer is a real danger to the world?"

Though it's worth noting that Levi's Tweets are really more anti-"big pharma" than anti-vax, specifically, most people are failing to make that distinction.

Levi is obviously entitled to his own opinion and views, but adopting such a controversial (some might say dangerous) stance so close to his movie's release is probably not the smartest move. Then again, Wakanda Forever did just fine, so maybe there really is no such thing as bad publicity?

Recently, Levi responded to the rumor that he, along with pretty much every other pre-DCU actor, would be parting ways with their respective roles as James Gunn and Peter Safran map-out their 10-year plan for the Warner Bros. Discovery/New Line franchise.

Despite initially seeming confident that he'd be sticking around as the hero, Levi would later admit that he wasn't actually sure what the future will hold.

We'd be very surprised if Gunn and Safran were to pick and choose who stays and who goes, so we'd place our bets on a full reboot - which means Fury of the Gods will likely be the last we see of Levi as Shazam.

Check out the recent trailer for the Shazam! sequel below, and let us know what you make of Levi's Tweet in the comments section.

As an actor in a superhero movie I have no doubt that he knows more about the field of medicine than the people who have spent their entire educational and professional careers researching and collecting data to reach peer reviewed and empirically demonstrably conclusions.

An actor having a dissenting opinion on something isn't worth much of anything, all by itself.
