I was at Books-A-Million yesterday, and I realized how much Disney was investing in this movie. There was merchandise all over the place for it. Tonto's bracelet, his headdress, his action figure, The Ranger's pin, hat, mask, action figure, gun, etc. etc. And they didn't just invest money. There were a lot of old people who had fond memories of the original Lone Ranger, and were excited (most of them, anyway) to see our generation's version of it, and most were let down. I don't feel bad for Depp, 'cause he'll just ignore it anyway or whatever, and he's always got Tim Burton on his back offering him the lead part in his new movie, but I feel bad for Armie Hammer. His first big-time male lead role was in Mirror, Mirror last year, and that movie sucked dick. So he was really offered a second chance here, and his acting in this movie is actually good, it's just the people behind the camera's faults. I hope it's true that he'll be Batman or Antman of something, I think the CBMs could use him well. And also, I wonder what this means for Pirates 5. Same director, same lead actor, FLOP.

This film has the exact same plot as Who Framed Roger Rabbit... Even the lead actress as the same puffy lips...

ALWAYS SEE THE BIG PICTURE...

The Lone Ranger and Tonto went camping in the desert.
After they got their tent all set up, both men fell sound asleep.
Some hours later, Tonto wakes the Lone Ranger and says, 'Kemo Sabe, look Towards sky, what you see?
"The Lone Ranger replies, 'I see millions of stars.".'

What that tell you?' asked Tonto.
The Lone Ranger ponders for a minute then says, 'Astronomically speaking, It tells me there are millions of galaxies and potentially billions of planets. Astrologically, it tells me that Saturn is in Leo. Time wise, it appears to be approximately a quarter Past three in the morning. Theologically, the Lord is all-powerful and we are small and insignificant. Meteorologically, it seems we will have a beautiful day tomorrow. What's it tell you, Tonto?"
"You dumber than buffalo shit. It means someone stole the tent."

I gave this movie a chance, I didn't care what anyone said, I wanted to see for myself.

After 30 minutes I just couldn't take it anymore, this movie is absolutely terrible!

First off it isn't the Lone Ranger, I don't know what it is but I know what it isn't and it's not the Lone Ranger!

This guy was a complete bafoon, they tried to make the Lone Ranger funny, WHY?

It should have been a hardcore action packed western adventure, nothing funny about it.

I still think a really good Lone Ranger could be made, just not by the same people. I still trust Disney, but get a different director!
