Is Elton John Being Lined Up For A Cameo In Matthew Vaughn's THE SECRET SERVICE?

Set for release next year, Matthew Vaughn's take on the Mark Millar and Dave Gibbons comic book series looks set to be a star studded affair after already casting Colin Firth and Michael Caine in leading roles. While Leonardo DiCaprio and Tom Cruise reportedly passed on the chance to play the lead villain, the director is still on the hunt for a big star for that role and is said to be interested in Emma Watson for the female co-star. Well, according to The Sun, Sir Elton John is now being lined up for a cameo which will see him taking part in a "huge" fight scene. "The Secret Service is going to be a big British movie so Matthew wants to include some iconic British stars," one source reportedly told the site. "He wants to turn the films into a franchise, so getting big names on board will help boost its profile. Seeing Elton fighting will be movie gold. He’s a great addition." The Sun - far from a reliable source - were actually one of the first sites to also report that Sir Michael Caine has been cast in the movie; something later verified by Variety.

Before all you idiotic children make some stupid comment about Elton John... just remember that he has more talent in his right leg than you can ever muster in an entire lifetime. My favorite concert I've ever been to (been to many) was an Elton John concert. Yes, this guy is pure genius... And Rock n Roll, of course! This will also mean he might do a song for the soundtrack?! I'm game!

The Sun is as respectable as gonorrhea. It's a tabloid, journalism is an alien word for them. Elton John in a fight scene? Would he be trying to slap people, scratch their faces or throwing pink poodles at his enemies?
