Director David Yates' take on The Legend of Tarzan will put a new spin on the classic Greystoke tale, beginning the story with a settled John Clayton being forced to return to his wild ways to come to the aid of his wife, Jane.

This first TV spot for the movie contains a few snippets of new footage - including one shot of Suicide Squad's Margot Robbie being attacked by a hippo.

.

It has been years since the man once known as Tarzan (Skarsgård) left the jungles of Africa behind for a gentrified life as John Clayton, Lord Greystoke, with his beloved wife, Jane (Robbie) at his side. Now, he has been invited back to the Congo to serve as a trade emissary of Parliament, unaware that he is a pawn in a deadly convergence of greed and revenge, masterminded by the Belgian, Leon Rom (Waltz). But those behind the murderous plot have no idea what they are about to unleash.

Directed by David Yates, The Legend of Tarzan stars Alexander Skarsgard as Tarzan, Margot Robbie as Jane, Djimon Hounsou as Chief Mbonga, Samuel L. Jackson as George Washington Williams, and Christoph Waltz as the villainous Captain Leon Rom. It's set to be released worldwide next July.

I'm gonna enjoy this movie, but it's gonna flop at the box office. It's got John Carter syndrome.

@Django79 - There was a time when the actress, Bo Derek ("10") was the hottest actress on the planet and she was featured in a movie titled "Tarzan: Then Ape Man" (circa 1981). That probably was the worst Tarzan film ever made. Today, Margot Robbie is pretty close to being today's Bo Derek. Lets all hope she doesn't suffer the same fate.

Would like to see both of them in CMBs. Alexander Skarsgard för Asgard! Balder?

Or, perhaps Sentry? Not asgard though. :)
